Re: Levi skirts

After all these years (my first post in Skirtcafe, 2015, was inquiring about Levi Strauss skirts) I finally found some. The trouble is, there aren't any I can use. They are stocked in a local food, housewares, and clothing store (which happens to be a Kroger property). They offer a long variety, mid...

Re: Ballet Flats and Mary Janes Back on the Runway

Here's one you might consider, if you like "English school sandals." Sizes go up to European 44.5. Many colours. Orders go via Etsy, but it says "ships from UK." https://www.etsy.com/listing/1497477124/handmade-mary-jane-dollie-ladies-shoe?external=1&rec_type=cs&ref=landi...

Re: Style

Aside from costume companies, you can rent costumes from theatrical organizations. For example, Oregon Shakespeare Festival has a huge costume bank which they rent out, typically to other theatre organizations (such as high-schools or community theatre groups). I'm not sure about individuals. They a...

Re: New Men's skirt brand - lesskirt

I'm a old-fashioned guy who likes pockets and belt-loops. I see the Lesskirt has a drawstring. Sometimes they work OK for me, sometimes not. I too prefer the orange, of the colors shown. There's a man standing in front of the pack whose skirt appears to be green. That would be my choice, if availabl...

Re: Ballet Flats and Mary Janes Back on the Runway

Here's a robust version of a ballet flat, intended for men, with sizes up to European 46 (that's men's 12 U.S. or 11 U.K.) They are available in black and silver. The brand is Camper, the style is called Karst. https://www.camper.com/en_US/men/shoes/karst/camper-karst-K100930-001 Wouldn't it be a gr...

Re: Ballet Flats and Mary Janes Back on the Runway

Pinterest is teasing us with Converse floral Mary Janes.

I wonder what the size range is.

Re: Black cord skirt

I like corduroy garments, including skirts. There are many brands, lengths, and colors available in the U. S. I don't see any specifically for men, or modeled by men, so you have to pick and choose from what's available. I insist on having belt loops and pockets. Here is one example. Sold by JCPenne...

Re: Skirts with splits

"Splits" is a better, less violent, word than "slashes." I like them better on the sides, at the bottom of each side-seam. This gives me symmetry. I have one denim skirt like that. Instead of a 6-inch back-split, you cab have two 3-inch side splits. Same function. I call them &qu...

Re: Blood Group

My Army dog tags had that information. Type B-Positive.
I donated blood 135 times. And helped organize blood drives at my workplace.
No more donations, since I now have a pacemaker.
I have never received a transfusion, but my late partner of 36 years, as a cancer patient, had several.

Re: Ballet Flats and Mary Janes Back on the Runway

Vans' own OTW site lists these Mary Janes all the way up to men's 13. The problem is they're all on "notify me" status, which means they're either out of stock or not yet available. Vans is strictly an athletic casual shoe, but their "Old Skool" skateboard variety is extremely po...

Re: Ballet Flats and Mary Janes Back on the Runway

Vans "Premium 93 Mary Janes" go up to men's 11.5 or women's 13,
according to their listing in Pinterest.
(I know, Pinterest can be misleading and frustrating.)

The snoga skirt has been seen here previously.

It's originally intended for "modest wear" for athletic or daily wear,
especially among the very religious.
