Re: I thought this was a good twitter thread
Reading about all this latest from the US of A, I can agree with B&B that it's just as well it's all 3000+ miles away. A word of caution about venturing out & about where you are domiciled, B&B at this time of year exposing any square inch of uncovered flesh, e.g. legs can result in a very rapid fli...

Re: New Here
Welcome SSW. You're obviously young and have a lifetime of skirt wearing in front of you. This old Irish fossil still loves cavorting around in skaters. I have two with pockets, which I find very useful.
As a York resident you are near Sinned (Dennis) who will no doubt welcome you himself.

Re: Why we wear skirts and how does it feel?
Funny. I thought all long-term Hampshire residents developed webbed feet to cope with the conditions. :? I never wear jeans. Period. Love skater minis though and these get an airing out on the local moors when I take our security staff (big dogs) for a stroll. Much nicer than shorts which are the al...

Re: Solar powered clothes dryer... an ancient technology..
Impressive, Moon and the Sun is doing its thing there big-time. Pity the washing machine isn't also solar powered, or perhaps maybe it is and you have a whole field full of solar panels feeding 'Lectric into the Grid! Just yesterday I went over to a hillside farm to lunch with old friends. They are ...

Re: Shorts under skirts and dresses
Skirts only for me. No dresses. I've worn shorts under a kilt....Sacrilege ? I agree that short would spoil the feel of a nice skirt, which after all is precisely the reason for wearing them.

Re: "National Boycott" over childrens book at Pizza Hut
Truth is, FG, I'm not into pizzas at all and have little use for the sort of pastry they are made of. 4000 years ago MOH & I met up with her younger bro. & his then German girlfriand at Lido di Jesolo, outside Venice (Italy) and sitting outside at one of the concrete boulevard eateries we waited alm...

Re: "National Boycott" over childrens book at Pizza Hut
Gosh, FG, You're right on the button there! A few years ago MOH had a polytunnel installed in our garden, inside which lies our only chance of growing decent veggie, quite so far North of the Equator. When they arrived with the low-loader and the pineapple tree on it, they had to take it all away ag...

Ah well, There's no accounting for taste. I just hide myself in the top branches of our pineapple tree in the back garden.

Re: Strange and unusual skirts
Quite clearly that mini is on back-to-front. What you are looking at is shaped to cover the behind/posterior and it all looks out of shape under a belly button.

Re: I just don't understand...
Well put, all of you. I understand this bloke marched into a gun shop on his 18th birthday and purchased two? assault rifles plus ammunition! One question I would ask is, What sort of weapons retailer would actually sell such items to a kid obviously wet behind the ears and in all probability with s...

Re: Skorts
I happen to like skorts and I regard them as wide-leg shorts of mini length. The one illustrated is pleated back and front which I like, but alas lacks pockets, which I'd like to have retro-fitted.
