Re: Pressing the "HOT" button

Some valid points in there Moon. I cannot see why people are against healthcare. On the subject of voting, I vote to look after other people. Whoever is in power it's unlikely to make a significant difference to my life. A few quid more or a few quid less; it doesn't matter. What I am concerned abou...

Re: Rethinking Lingerie....

I am glad there is agreement on people not having to justify what they wear :-) In response to Ralph asking about bralettes, well, going by the British definition (apparently), that is, a tight-fitting crop top with thin straps, then I do find them useful for wearing under a top that I feel the 'V' ...

Re: Polo inside or outside ?

My instant reaction is that tucked in looks like you are going to work, out you look more relaxed (plus you have less creases).

Al, sorry to hear about the recent loss of your wife. I thought your tribute was really touching. Hope to see you on SkirtCafe when you feel more comfortable again.

Re: Covid 19

I am a bit cautious that there is under-reporting of the prevalence side effects. This is based on friends of people I know having dropped dead or ending up in hospital within days of having the vaccine. One was aged 35 and another was 46, although the others were over 70 and over 80. I realise that...

Re: Covid 19

...some seem to insist that anything other than what is presented by the governments is incorrect...I will keep en open mind for all possibilities. What is more or less certain is that governments tend to act in their own best interest and unfortunately it often takes 50 years or more for informati...

Re: "Mens Skirts Are on the Rise"

I thought this was going to be about min-skirts.... sorely disappointed ;-) Looking at the actual article though, how many people are going to rush out and buy the £1,800 Prada slogan print pleated skirt that Louis Rubi is wearing? Comme des Garçons, that he seems to like also, is in a similar price...

Re: Rethinking Lingerie....

Give them two identical shirts, one marketed to men and one marketed to women (buttons on the left), and out of principle they will choose the one marketed to women just for the sake of only wearing "women's" clothes. I'm guilty of that... ... "feminine" is not a dirty word in my vocabulary... I ha...

Re: Rethinking Lingerie....

The site did have a nice colourful range of stay-ups and fishnet tights, but no-one seems to have picked up on that. My take on it was that essentially they are trying to normalise clothing that has either been associated with women or the fetish world, and that in-order to do so they are attempting...

Rethinking Lingerie....

I stumbled across this site that is producing "unmentionables" for men and at same trying to rebrand them in order to put them into the realms of mainstream (except the price, as usual!!). I wish them luck. https://www.mootlingerie.com/blogs/moot-blog/losing-our-lingerie Is the worm beginning to tur...

Re: Outfits: What Inspires You?

Long before the internet I would buy Cosmopolitan to look at the fashion, as well as following, in particular, the London and Paris fashion shows on the television or in magazines. Working and getting on with life typically means some things get shelved, and for me that keeping up with the latest tr...

Re: As nature intended or a smooth operator?

I was never that hairy, however, as I got older the hairs on my legs started to curl and stand out a bit and I didn't like the aesthetics of that, so I started waxing then. (My gf at the time preferred that too as she really wasn't into body hair). Anyway, waxing would often resulted in one or two i...

Can you pull on them? I've seen it done with shorts that pulling on straps there will bunch up the fabric on the outseam, so you can more or less outer leg showing.
Yes, that is what I was going to say. It can give a nice shape to the skirt too, as well as simply adjusting the sides length.
