Re: Finally - Too Tired
Whilst checking of how well I was doing with my exercises (for my age) it was this site that brought it home to me... https://foundationchiropractic.ca/at-home-fitness-testing/ The realisation that I am unlikely to ever better by very much the average push-up, for instance, of someone half my age wa...

Re: LEG WARMERS trending COMEBACK
. Apart from 80s retro hen-dos then as a fashion item I can't say that I have particularly noticed any, so perhaps not a come back in the UK (yet?). I will keep an eye out now it's been mentioned. I know the Japanese wear them quite a bit. In the dance world I don't think they really ever went out o...

Re: Male anatomy
Nice to see a range of opinions. I agree with the idea that men should not need to hide what they have, and many these days don't. Just take a look at a gym, for example, or, as someone mentioned, swimming. I remember that Speedos generally went out of fashion in the UK, at least for the casual beac...

Re: Is anyone else trying to learn a language?
I love languages. Apart from breaking down barriers they also provide an insight into a culture. I speak Hebrew as I lived for seven years in Israel. That was a long time ago. This week, however, a friend of mine's mother was visiting and she speak Hebrew, so we've been having a good old natter in H...

Re: Single Sex Spaces
As a teenager I hated the single sex changing rooms. I no more wanted to see men with their tackle out, then have them look at me whilst I was changing. Thankfully that is long consigned to the past. For probably at least 30 years the public swimming baths around here have had mixed changing rooms w...

Re: Teenage son likes to wear a dress
Traction for acceptance will have a much better chance if sons are allowed to explore their clothing choices as freely as daughters. However they are created, articles such as this stimulate thought and hopefully, communication. An "influence", I'd actually endorse for a change. Steve. Co...

Re: Skater Skirts Wearers Weight Loss
Any inexpensive recommendations would be great as need to replace literally almost all my clothes due to the weight change. The skirts which no longer fit me will be donated to charity. Merry Christmas all and have a happy 2024!! SSW I think you probably have your answer there.... the charity shops...
Re: Shortwave
It's likely that the main reason the LW service has lasted a long as it has is that it also carries a data signal for certain electricity consumers around the UK -- it can switch their electricity meters over to off-peak tariffs at certain times of day. We had notification last year that the meter ...

Re: Skirt over pants
If people here aren't prepared to accept skirts over trousers then why do they expect socierty to accept men wearing skirts? Personally I really am not bothered what someone wants to wear. Their body, their choice. Just don't try to stop me wearing what I want to wear. I have worn all sorts... a sho...

Nothing beats a nice pair of heels on a night out! They are great to dance in.
Ok, to be fair, this was my daytime pole outfit. Don't want to mis-represent myself.

Clothes!!
There are so many issues created by the fashion indutry and the subsequent disposal of surplus and old clothing. Plus you'd no longer need to argue about skirt wearing for men

Re: Did I just see a Ukranian football player wearing a sports bra?
I think it's very interesting the way that the sports world has very different clothing rules, particularly for men, allowing them a type of freedom not necessarily permitted in everyday life. Runners wear leggings/tights, for instance. Cyclists and swimmers shave their legs (and more). And now a sp...
