Re: Does wearing a mask make it easier?
It is nice sometimes. It does give a sense of anonymity but people who know me still recognise me. Interestingly, when I am taking to friends it's still possible to see when they are smiling.

Re: Article about boys wearing skirts as a protest in Quebec school
I sometimes despair at the hypocrisy, judging and bitterness that appears in some of our threads, on a forum that is espousing freedom and equality.. Equally, however, I also grateful for those that shine a light on it. The article, also about the Canadian school, that I posted a link to on the Span...

Re: Otra protesta contra la desigualdad del uniforme escolar
The youngsters do care a lot, they just know better what is important to care about. The hope will lie with these kids and many like them. That will apply to a hell of a lot more than men in skirts too. Steve. Sorry, perhaps badly worded on my part.... I was talking in relation to clothing, i.e. th...

Re: What is your favourite skirt length to wear?
I thought I would have a measure of some of my favourite skirts and most seem to come out at around 11". Looking at them when they are hanging up then I think that this gives a nice aesthetic when coupled with a size 10 waist. When walking in the street then this length probably gives pretty much th...

Re: Did we (men) force women to wear pants?
Awhile back a member stated that feminine clothing-except for a few business suits-are designed to show off a woman's sexuality Unless you happen to want to show off your sexuality, what are the alternatives? I am not sure if any clothing can show off a persons sexuality unless something is written...

There once was a colour named orange, ...Damnit. Because there is // as far as I know // no word in the English tongue // that rhymes with "orange". Well, there are place names and surnames though. There once was a colour named orange A man spotted on the mountain of Blorenge Said he, a dress I'd l...

Snopes credits the Paradox piece to Dr. Bob Moorehead, former pastor of Seattle’s Overlake Christian Church. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/the-paradox-of-our-time/ To me that makes it better, rather than worse. Thanks for posting that Jim. It makes more sense for a pastor to write "pray too sel...

Re: Skirt Wearing by Women Increasing?
Well, the last couple of weeks in the charity shop has probably seen more skirts sold than in the last year. I think it was six in total. Reading the fashion blogs then there seems to be a bit of a push on skirts for 2020 autumn/winter... mostly pvc mini (back to the 60s?) or maxi skirts. I certainl...

Re: Being Judged, Fired, for what you wear....
The world is very much moving on regards tattoos, and rightly so. I would say that there is little connotation of prison these days, which perhaps is a factor. An interesting point, I think, is that I probably know more women with large tattoos, and these are very visible, than I do men. None seems ...
