Re: Corona Virus

The virus has an incubation period of up to 14 days,... The incubation period is 4 to 5 days, the recovery time is about 14 days and after 21 days you will either be completely back to normal or fighting for your life in hospital or dead. The average incubation time is 5 days. At 11.5 days 97.5% of...

Re: Corona Virus

Thank god most of the politicians here in the UK seem to be presenting a united front, with one or two exceptions ( Stephen Barclay). How long it will last for I don’t know. My sympathy goes out to you in the US when I see tv footage of the vacant expression and rambling rhetoric of your president....

Re: Equality - IWD -- as it relates to this site

This is a direct quote from their site. "FOUNDING MOTHERS The women’s club movement was formed in the 19th and early 20th century by pioneering women who provided each other with encouraging community at a time when they needed it most. " They formed in 2016! The rest is just marketing. Yes there w...

Re: Equality - IWD -- as it relates to this site

Here is an article detailing a feminist group and treatment by leaders of the group. I think this is a complete abuse of power by the leaders who display elitist attitudes and racism towards members. The actions by the leaders of this group are prime examples of why I feel that we are never as adva...

Re: Equality - IWD -- as it relates to this site

There is nothing sacrosanct about the perception of skirts or breasts (or ankles in a bygone age) so a change of perception would be an easy way to solve the problem and remove the discrimination. I'm not sure there is a parallel between skirts for men and bare breasts for women. A man wearing a sk...

Re: Medium / A Skirt is just a Skirt

I believe that revolution comes from the young, so, a refreshing and interesting article (other the reference to female clothing immediately after dismissing the idea of gendered clothing) Whilst I accept the marketing implications, the idea that there needs to be a Gender-fluid fashion is, in a sen...

Re: Techniques you've used to get more men into wearing skirts

Why should we want to get men to wear skirts? Surely people have their opinions and dress sense, no? My take on it is that I want to demonstrate that men can wear skirts so that anyone with an inclination to do so may, but has so far not managed to do so in public, might gain the confidence to make ...

I must admit I haven't attempted it (well done Jim), and I'm not sure I am even tempted to attempt it, however, I have found a clip of how to gird one's loins in a ball gown!

OK! :D She was able to pick up a drink cup today. Slightly moving her left arm & hand but this is an improvement, too :!: We'll be married 48 years this coming June. Congratulations on your long standing partnership. Many years ago, my grandfather of about 90 had a bad stroke. He was paralysed to t...

Re: Gonna have to carry a purse???

The consensus here seems to be the cross-body messenger type bag. A quick look at Amazon suggests these are pretty substantial. Do any of you have examples of light-weight ones that are natural/comfortable to carry so that you are really not aware of them? Hell, I wear skirts for comfort -- I don't...

Now ill get political yes something has to be done but I don't think giving every illegal who crosses the border free care is the place to start If you want to get political then where do you think the people of the USA came from? Ooops, they were "illegals" that travelled, mostly across the sea, j...

Re: Gonna have to carry a purse???

I'm guessing you are not referring to the UK definition of purse, which is similar to a wallet i.e. a small pouch to keep money in. In which case I'm going to go for bag!! What's the big deal? Go to Italy and virtually every man has a bag, usually messenger style, over their shoulder. I've got sever...

Re: Deteating ourselves --

All I can think of is "size matters"! Women's and men's s,m,l etc, are not the same. Other women's sizes are somewhat alien to men, at least in relation to their own size.... 10, 12, 14 etc. These are not even the same on both sides of the Atlantic. Socks usually cover a different size range, depend...
