Re: Storage of skirts

Finding things is not a problem as I am usually creating a look rather than looking for something specific that I know I have, therefore I am looking for colours, textures etc. Btw, that's actually well less than half my wardrobe and I do sometimes forget I have something until I rediscover it whils...

Re: Storage of skirts

That's impressive. 60 Sk/M sounds good as I would only need 3 metres. There should be 178 mini-skirts here. Each section is 60cm wide, so that's 3m of skirts, i.e. the same as you probably require. My other skirts, that are generally less susceptible to creasing, are stacked on shelves or in a draw...

Re: For those that have tried nail polish and found it too difficult to DIY

A little fashion tip if you want to put nail varnish on just before going out.... put your coat on first!

In the past I used to get ready, paint my nail then ruin them trying to put a coat on without smudging them.

Re: Feet, how do you stand?

interestingly, though, when I walk on level ground I find that I use the "model catwalk" technique, placing each foot directly in front of the other more or less at my body center. My chiropractor said that's good for my spine, or something, so I make a conscious effort not to waddle when I walk. O...

Feet, how do you stand?

A couple of weeks ago I was at the pub with friends and the woman that was with my friend was so please to note that I was standing in the same manner that she does (basically 3rd position in ballet - one foot placed in front of the other with the heel of the front foot near the arch of the other). ...

Re: AGE APPROPIATE

I'm not sure that age really makes a lot of difference other than it tends to change the body's shape and features, which may affect what clothing suits. When it comes to appropriateness then is that not more to do with the occasion or who you are likely to be meeting up with? At work they generally...

It's 7°F here in northern Illinois. I'll wear a long skirt when I walk to the village center to pay my water bill today. We don't get it cold you you there Jim, and certainly not at this time of year.... from the Met Office: UK extremes Parameter Location Value Highest maximum temperature Swanage 1...

Yes, just be bold with it. Something like this perhaps?

Didn't quite have the editing tools to make the material look like it is hanging nicely.

Re: Force of habit...

Click and collect sends your package a designated local convenience store, or similar, and then sends your mobile a text when it is ready to collect. It means you don't need to wait at home for the delivery. Not every seller offers it. With returns you can usually take them back to the same store an...

Re: Sex and Gender

if someone who was obviously female entered a male changing room or toilet while I was using it. If I was going to worry about someone peering over my shoulder whilst I'm standing there peeing, it's less likely to be the women. I'm in favour of non-gendered toilets. A friend of mine campaigned with...

I went to https://www.skortify.com/ It works for me. I have written to them to say their size chart has inches and cm reversed on Garment Measurements.

Re: Ridiculous - Corrupt - Congressman

I use the USA here as an example simply because it's what I'm familiar with, not because of any redeeming virtue of the place or its system of government. I suspect that the "Brexit" vote was carried out along similar lines with massive dis-information being spewed by both sides. If we don't find a...

Re: Ridiculous - Corrupt - Congressman

Tom, it's an impossible situation. Basically half the country voted in and half out. The outers were a slightly greater proportion than the inners. So whatever happens half the country will feel aggrieved. Maybe the outers more so than the inners even though at the moment they are the least vocifer...
