Re: High Tides
We have wind farms around Yorkshire, quite big ones in these parts and the usual objections, I love the rhythm the blades set up. When I drive across Germany some of the highlights are the exquisite wind farms. The Czech Republic is a wind farm free environment and not the better for it. From most a...

Re: do you wear tights or not
Tights conflict with my basic principle of why I wear a skirt, which is freedom, or perhaps better expressed as Air. However I do like shaven legs, seems more natural to me, for after 34 years of being bearded their seemed little logic of not continuing the now beardless effect further down. After 2...

Re: Are these viable looks?
Both work OK. I suppose if you get it Macho enough there will be no problems, but I get fed up with skirt equal big boots. Yet find myself matching a skirt with boots even when I disparage it!

Re: French footballer
Like this outfit, with the one proviso that the predictable "heavy boots not put on properly" with its corny signalling is not to my taste.
Have just had a linen skirt made that is very similar to this one, you will find an image of it elsewhere on this site

Re: I think this look works(even if the author doesn't)!!!
Agree with the last two posts. Getting the shoes to work is the problem, the easy, and pointless, way out is to match a man dress with big clumpy boots, introduce freedom at one point and tie you down at the next. Why wear a skirt if you wear tights? Surely trousers do that more comfortably. Women t...

Re: Guy, what kind of hobbies do you have?
I never worried about fuel consumption. I live up in the Pennines and streamlining does not help when you are lugging up steep hills, best not to know how bad it was! However on a run down the motorway the streamlining came into its own and you could get 26mpg at 90mph. BUT that hardly ever happened...

Jack, I like your Radios. Left behind my Quad set up when I divorced. Missed the Quad more than the ex. Nowadays I run a very nice Arcam (British) feeding Gallo speakers (USA) and if I want records Ortofon (Denmark), SME (British), Thorens (Norwegian), make a perfect setup, the last two did come wit...

Actually they are a hoot to drive. The axle is well sorted. Like a Porsche of a similar age on steroids. The wheel base is long enough to give you ample warning of the back end breaking away so you can slide it through the bends very predictably. And these things are fast! cruise happily at 90 and p...

engine.jpg For many people my life has been one big hobby! I call myself a peasant never having the desire to separate me, the life and how I work into separate boxes. If people walk on the left side of the road I would want to try the right, that is my nature. Luckily early on I found some sort of...

Re: Easy Fitting Shirts
_1000670w.jpg This is a favourite shirt of mine that I got made up in a very light cotton. The arms are very loose fitting at the top making for a very comfortable fit. The buttons are on the male side which is totally irrelevant as they are hidden! I have found a dress maker/designer who is happy ...

Re: What would you like to see in a man's dress?
So few women are to be seen with skirts or dresses. Perhaps in winter the proportion of skirt wearers goes up; thick tights and boots are probably more compatible with a long skirt that jeans or trousers are. Even so the proportion of skirt wearers is low around these parts. Maybe that is why my sob...
