Re: Weather

A slightly different scale where I live 50C = Blazing 40C = Bearable 30C = Beautiful 20C = Bearable 10C = Bloody Cold 0C = Beyond my comfort zone Denimini, I was going to say something similar...Yes I would describe 47°C to be blazing... 30°C - Loving it. 20°C - Jacket on. 10°C - I'll try to stay i...

Re: Weather

Well for us downunder, winter has arrived, cool days around 22 to 23°C and down to about 10 to 13°C overnight.
If you're out of the sun, jackets are required....

Nights are now in the COD category......(Come Over Darling).

Gotta love Brisvegas (SE QLD) winters!!!

Re: Men's Kilt by Dangerfied in stores

Is any U.S. retailer selling these Dangerfield products? * 1. Or has anybody in the U.S. ordered them from Australia? * 2. At the current exchange rate, one Australian dollar is 77 cents American. * 3. As for the itchy scratchy woolies, I noticed that G.Lieberman (normally a provider of men's legwe...

Well Moonshadow, the first thing I thought of when I saw that photo was simple. Chicken suit.

Completely ridiculous I think.

Re: Men's Kilt by Dangerfied in stores

It looks like Dangerfield has a couple of new offerings in the range of skirt/kilts marketed towards the guys. https://shop.dangerfield.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=kilt&aw_limit=1&limit=4 Hopefully they are all as popular as the earlier two that have been in their stores. Good on these guys for o...

Re: Items on eBay

I'm not sure I like the name given in the description, and it needs an iron. Surely that wasn't too hard to do before the Ebay photo was taken. Otherwise it's an interesting utility kilt like garment, and it fastens on the "mens" side. I'm sure there might be a couple of members here who would rock ...

Re: Celebrating 18 years of Marriage Sunday

Congratulations Moon and Jenn on your 18 years of marriage. Enjoy your time wherever you go, and whatever you do. You've achieved twice as many married years as we have, this year will be 9 years for Sheila and myself. For us, I aim to make every anniversary special, but the next big one for us will...

Re: East coast fuel shortage

No fuel shortages on the east coast of of the great southern land.. Fuel price varies (1 US Gallon = 3.785L) and our price varies at the moment between $4.65/US Gallon and $6.17/US Gallon, depending on where you are in the price cycle, which is roughly a month currently. I do not understand the pric...

Re: Assault on a female

Moon, I have to agree with your comments regarding the case of assault and assault on a female. Unfortunately these days, if you as a male look at a woman the wrong way, and she takes exception to that and reports it, you could be in for a world of trouble, and we know which way the courts are biase...

Re: Article in The Sunday Times

The problem I see is not the concept, it is the price attached. The target demographic would be so small as to be practically zero. I don't know of many women who would pay $150 for an every day dress etc, let alone men who would consider these prices for something that probably wouldn't see the lig...

You folks are a long way ahead of me, I'm only up to 264. Congratulations on the totals, and Moon, you've been a member for a similar time span to me, although I had found the cafe some time before I joined. Perhaps there should be recognition for say 1000, 2500, 5000, 7500, 10000, 12500 etc posts.....

Re: How far we've come

I think that as time goes on, people are becoming too busy wrapped up in their own lives to really worry about what others are doing or wearing, as long as the actions of others don't adversely affect them. I also think that people are becoming much more accepting of the differences between people o...

Re: Men's Kilt by Dangerfied in stores

I took these pics at Robina on the Gold Coast, what store did you checkout? Because, I have talked to both girls at Robina and they were also thrilled with seeing the kilts being made available for men and they also said they have become really popular. I personally will be wearing more of my kilts...
