Re: Skirt Brand Names

Interesting skirt Anthony, but yes, that's a tad expensive.

That's another reason why Faceplant marketplace, Fleabay, Trademe etc are where I'd be looking.

Re: The end of August

We're still waiting for that big yellow ball to play with. It's been a tad cloudy here the last few days. Not good for charging my batteries.....

Re: The end of August

Kirbstone, It would appear that you have very much the opposite to us, where you get 6 months of winter a year, we get 6 months of summer a year, which we're coming into now. First day of the spring to reach 30°C yesterday, today expecting 31°C...and possibly a thunderstorm this afternoon, the first...

2020 Emmy Awards.

Saw a clip on the mainstream TV news about the 2020 Emmy Awards today, where one of the male actors was shown accepting an award with co-actors sporting a knee length skirt, looked like a grey pleated skirt, worn with a white shirt, tie and matching grey jacket. A very sensible looking outfit that a...

Re: Wildfires in the US

Yes the situation with the fires is one to keep a close eye on. It was certainly pretty bad here downunder from November to February. I've heard about it from some of my wife's family that live in the Southern California area, at least they've been OK. Hoping that all our US members are safe away fr...

Re: How do you sleep????

How well do I sleep......well that depends on a number of factors... * How much I had to drink earlier that night.. (I usually sleep very well but nobody else does).. * What is going on at work.. (I'm usually trying to solve problems at 3am rather than sleeping) * How much sleep I got the night befo...

Re: Bloody cars

Kirbstone, Yes that Hunter was a lot of fun, I'd had the ton out of it, but it just didn't sit that well on the road above that point, so never took the risk..But one time I was driving it along a straight road sitting at 140kmh, I stopped in the next town for a loo stopped and a guy asked me what o...

Re: Items on eBay

The one thing that I just cannot work out for the life of me is sizing... Anthony, you mention a 42, so I'm assuming that is a size, then there's US sizing, UK sizing, AU sizing (which I think is the same as UK sizing but I'm not sure).... And then you might get something in a size 14, but a size 14...

Re: Bloody cars

Kirbstone, That reminds me of something I heard back in the 80s when Datsun became Nissan...... Ashes to ashes, Datsun to Nissan won't stop the rust...... As far as cars go, I've owned a few, from my first car, a Hillman Hunter (with modified, balanced engine to about 7000 RPM, ported and polished i...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Anthony, Next time you're in QLD, we'll have to spend some time in the city (Brisvegas)... I'll admit, it's a rare occurrence to see another bloke in a skirt or kilt, but you do see the odd bloke wearing a kilt/skirt. Maybe I seem to spot more blokes in kilts/skirts than most. All I know is that the...

The end of August means: The end of winter (and it was 27°C here today). The beginning of spring. Bring on the warmer weather. Another day. Accounting to do, and end of month job completion etc...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

This morning they were out there, in Brisbane (Australia) at least. I was in the city, walking back to my car when I stopped at an intersection waiting to cross the road when almost right along side me was another fellow in a very weathered looking leather utility kilt, with a blue tartan in the ple...
