Re: Anyone know any good scar removing remedies?

After suffering a tibial plateau fracture 10 years ago, I have two 5 inch scars from the surgery to reassemble the jigsaw puzzle...

Scars are difficult, and probably expensive to try to remove. Many of us wear our scars with pride, as if to tell the world what you've overcome, that you've beaten it.

Re: New Court Apparel

What on earth was anyone thinking when the created those socks and what looks like rugby balls for shoes?

No self respecting bloke that I've ever met would wear shoes like that, let alone those socks with them...

The rest of the outfit looks fine, no issues there...

Re: A Meaty Question to our American Friends

Obviously every country has different rules and regulations around food labelling when it comes to country of origin etc. In Australia certainly all packaging must by law state the country of origin, often you will see products labelled with something like "Packaged in Australia from local and impor...

Re: Spot the mistake...

Hi Moonshadow, Is the error in what I take it is the street numbering or the dimensions of the block? On the blocks on the top of the road the numbers go 35, 34, 33, 32, 31, 42, 43 etc? I'm used to the house numbers on one side of the street being odd and on the other side even, eg 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11...

Re: How old were you . . . . ?

This has been discussed on another thread. Not objecting at all though. I remember being interested in the skirts that the girls wore when I was probably 14 to 15 years old, and I remember noting when I saw one of the girls from the school I went to still wearing her uniform out of school hours. The...

Re: Car maintenance

As far as vehicle inspections go, I remember from when I was resident in New Zealand you had to have your vehicle roadworthy inspected every 6 months once your vehicle was 6 years old, or previously registered in another country, regardless of age. This was a requirement for registration. No such ve...

Re: Corona Virus

While I don't normally share things I see, hear etc, especially from social media etc, a link to this was sent to me by someone who is also very careful what he shares. I found this video on you tube that is quite interesting, looking into the possible origins and genetic fingerprints of this Chines...

Re: Fashion advice (of sorts)

For myself,

I wear sarongs, some skirts and utility kilts, but shirt always untucked.

I generally want to appear as masculine as I can.
While I have long hair (not as long as kilted John), I still want to appear as "don't stuff with me" male as I normally do, in a completely non-aggressive way.

Re: Gas prices...

Been down as low as $1.18/L in Brisbane, Australia in the last couple of days. Haven't seen it that cheap for a while. Last week while we were in New Zealand, it was a whopping $2.01/L!!!!!... $AUD1.00 has dropped to around $US 0.60 in the last 2 weeks or so, and $AUD 1.00 = approx $NZD1.02 at the m...

When we get through this... Remember your local small businesses! They're getting hit the hardest, in my travels at work I have dealt with scores of mom and pops, and they're nervous as hell. They are all cautiously optimistic. I just completed a service call for a great little sandwich shop... the...

A bit of fun with the current world issue.

We all need a laugh, not to belittle the gravity of the situation for some. Keep your head up and smile!

Re: Water!

Speaking of water, we're expecting the remnants of cyclone Esther to give us a bit of rain over the next couple of days. More rain forecast later in the week as a tropical low brings us lots of rain. We need to get a lot more rain, our dams need a good filling after two or 3 dry years. Its all part ...
