Re: Items on eBay

That reminds me of a peacock.

Not for me.

Re: Killed for wearing a dress

Moon, As we age, we mellow.. You are in the same boat as me, as I've progressed through to my late 40s, I now sit back and have a laugh inside at younger people slanging off and going nuts. I see some young folks throwing forth every profanity I've ever heard, and some that I haven't, I just keep go...

Re: Quest for a suitable shirt

I've got a few polo shirts, and one that I quite like does have the white collar like Sinned mentioned. That one is definitely better for the cooler months. Strange that one is the one that my wife likes the least. I do have a couple of much lighter polo shirts, which are definitely better for our s...

Re: Happy 40th Birthday Moonshadow!!

Happy 40th birthday Moon, and many more to come. BTW I have memories of the opening of the new Town Hall and concert centre in Wellington, New Zealand, must have been about 1982 give or take a year, where Tchaikovsky's 1812 was played, complete with the lineup of cannons just outside, timed to perfe...

Re: Do you need reassurance...?

Where is the "Like" button!

There's only one way to go from 2020, that is onwards and upwards.
No point in continuing to drown in a tank of bovine excrement.

2021 will be a rebuilding year.

Re: First white Christmas

Sinned, In your meaning of the word fun, you are correct. Perhaps my sarcastic use of the word has confused you, if so, my apologies. I used the word in a "yeah right" manner, as it wasn't that much fun in reality. A bit like where does the road actually go as well as slushy. As for driving on ice a...

Re: First white Christmas

Hi Moonshadow, Hoping that yourself, Amber and Jen had a great day. As for snow at Christmas, that is a completely foreign concept for me, having only lived in the southern hemisphere. I do remember snow when I was younger, (Christchurch, New Zealand) from about 1975, 1976, 1988 and another really g...

Re: Merry Christmas

Hoping it's been a good one for all, it's been a fairly normal day for us, as we have no family in Brisvegas to spend the time with, and with borders closed, no way to really go anywhere or do much.

2021 has got to bet better.

HNY to all for 2021.

Re: Can You Relate?

Yes! Absolutely.

And there's times when I'd like to turn back the time on those injuries over the years...But they were all doing the things I really enjoyed...
And yes I sometimes have fun with airport metal detectors...

No motorcycles involved.

Re: Skirt Brand Names

Anthony,

I couldn't care less about many skirt brand names, but that one looks like a very sensible skirt especially for our climate.
Very wearable.

Re: Gaslighting

I get the impression that Socialism and Communism are becoming confused in some ways. Communism, where pretty much the government owns everything and everyone is equal (and usually equally poor) and the government has control over the population, and aspects of socialism where the government provide...

Re: Hair, Hair, Hair, Hair, Hairrrrrr

I have inherited my mother's hair, thick and wavy. At the beginning of January, it will be 3 years since I've had a haircut, and it's now long enough to reach the middle of my shoulder blades. I have been trying to iron it straight, and tie it back so it keeps it more tidy otherwise it goes a bit wi...

Re: Is this true?????

There's times that I think it would be great to be able to go back to the 1970s, for the simplicity of life aspect. No mobile phones. No internet. Black and white TV that took a couple of minutes to warm up and had that odour as the dust baked on the hot valves. Only one TV channel. One car per hous...
