Re: Revealing skirt wearing

I started wearing shirts last November just to hike in. It only took a couple months for me to get comfortable in a skirt. Now its about all I wear anymore. I now have over 20 skirts. It is great that you have got to that stage of skirt wearing. Think of all the time we have been missing out but be...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

She said a few other things about a support group and tried to hand me a business card. I said thanks but I'm not interested. Then, as 'she' turned away from me said, "Cute Outfit" and walked away. I was gob-smocked for quite a bit........ Sounds like she was trans herself and felt sorry for you be...

Re: Hello from a new member

For an active male I found the hem circumference one of the biggest limitations when, for example, stepping over a log and the hem goes tight, not good and looks ugly or plain daft. I like freedom at the hemline so the skirt does not inhibit mobility and I am currently enjoying pleated designs. Tha...

Re: Hello from a new member

Personally, I find it easier to do my shopping "on the other side of the aisle" while skirted -- it makes it clear it is for me, I often get more offers of help or kind words than the days when I still wore pants at times to shop. Yes, I find that works well, it makes it obvious why you are looking...

Re: To the progressives here

Ha, reminds me of the Australian "Robo-debt" debacle. The federal Government Social security department, Centrelink, devised a program to check out people's elegibility to what they were claiming, no doubt by some algorithm, and then automatically send out nasty letters demanding repayment, sometime...

Re: Hello from a new member

Welcome to the cafe. Reading your intro, I am sure you will get on very well here, settling in next to the Aspidistra. Yes, charity shops are a good start to experiment. Also it is worth having a look at eBay and perhaps creating a targeted search once you know the type of skirts you like. I did an ...

Re: Revealing skirt wearing

The general consensus…. They don’t care. .......... unless it is a revealing skirt. Sorry, I initially misinterpreted the thread title. It is great when you get to the stage where you are confident to wear skirts anywhere after the limitations of just around home. Also you will get more adventurous...

As regards to the title of the thread racing cars can have skirts.
Quite so, and road cars too. In seaches for mini skirts I have had results turn up in the category of Body Mouldings, and they weren't referring to the human body.

Re: Skirts on the F1 Grid?

Oh no, I have just had another outbreak of nostalgia. I have some resistance to it but no immunity. I did have a mini (car) given to me by a couple going overseas, sadly the engine consumed more oil than fuel and lacked power. It was imperative to maintain momentum to get anywhere in reasonable time...

Glad to know that you are still on the planet. Always a worry when we don't hear from someone for a while, especially in a pandemic.

Looks practical, probably a bit long for me, although the label name seems appropriate.

Re: Corona Virus

Dennis, I wish you all well over the next couple of weeks. My little town is now COVID free, with no new cases for 15 days. 152 people got it in a population of about 600 but thankfully nobody needed ICU or a ventillator. I never could find out how many infected were vaccinated. Stats so far are 83%...

Re: Prostate Issue

It is something that is on all our minds as we grow older. I have no advice to offer except empathy with your concerns.
I guess it is like so many things in our lives; deal with situations that turn up the best we can and try to maintain a positive attitude as stress will exacerbate any problem.
