Re: A New Moderator

Hi Anthony, Time for a belated vote of thanks for stepping into the void I had unintentionally left by my absence. I am sure you will already have discovered how open and consensus-based moderation is here and I believe the forum is all the stronger for it. Ian. Thanks Ian, nice to know that you ar...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Does it count that a local club meeting I attend regularly has a group of old greybeards like myself that attend these events in a Kilt? 8) Probably it is not in the wild (although I don't know what sort of club it is), and with people you know it is like calling yourself in the mirror a sighting :)

Re: What are you afraid of

I don't live in fear of spiders and snakes but I certainly am wary of them. A local guy got bitten on his thumb by a Common Brown snake, while he was in bed (you are not even safe in bed). He survived with prompt medical care but has ongoing health problems ........ nasty. A friend got bitten by a s...

In fact, to say that a lot of guys participating in the Olympic Games are not worried would be an understatement.

Re: What are you afraid of

On the way there a huge garden spider popped out from behind the sun visor to say hello. Ever had a car stop from 55mph to 0 in 10 feet? Then followed a few minutes ushering it out of the car. Shudder. They must like sunvisors. I have had a similar experience once when the sun got in my eyes, a big...

Re: Thank you

Welcome marcb14. I do like the outfit in the pic, very natural and practical looking. UA, nailed it - his login name is marcb14, not march14. It's the problem, for me anyway, of reading small print and b and h looking similar. T he brain interpolates the most likely omplete word and gets it wrong. S...

Re: I Don't Get This

My assumption is, that Linkedin removed the pictures as, what I understand, linkedin is intended for business networking. Yes, linkedin is a pretentious sort of face book. They might have deleted the post because of the mother's plunging neckline. They should just close their linkedin account ........

This thread started as an interesting postulation but is now straying too much into the Covid 19 discussion. Certainly the fear of Covid 19 fits this thread but further discussion on vaccination etc. please migrate to the appropriate thread thanks.

Another existential threat to humanity that gets limited publicity: the projected fertility of humans is zero by 2045. See https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/mar/18/toxic-chemicals-health-humanity-erin-brokovich?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other That will give other species a better go. I thin...

Re: Jet Blue flight attendants uniform

It should be pointed out that this is a story of a man who is wearing the entire uniform of the opposite sex in order to present as or like women; he is not doing it to extend the sartorial choices straight, cis-gendered men have. In so doing, he is perpetuating the association of skirt= female , w...

Here is a more sensible item. I have tried braces (suspenders) with a mini skirt and was alarmed at the amount of hoisting up when bending. https://www.picclickimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/z/m0cAAOSw7eVebv8T/$/Desigual-Suspender-Skirt-Green-Size-EU-40-AU-_1.jpg https://picclick.com.au/Desigual-Suspende...

Re: Items on eBay

I find this skirt quite appealing. I do like contrasted pleats and I imagine it is a lovely material although too high maintenance for me https://www.picclickimg.com/d/l400/pict/265239026995_/Alannah-Hill-Pleated-Skirt-Silk-Size-12.jpg https://picclick.com.au/Alannah-Hill-Pleated-Skirt-Silk-Size-12-...
