Re: The skirt... still a bridge too far it seems.
It seems true that young people have adopted many "traditionally feminine" garments and ways but rarely a skirt (so rare I have not yet seen it). I wonder why. I thought the young were more adventurous and rebellious but perhaps as a group and not individually like us older ffffffellas who don't giv...

Re: Thoughts Re: Protocols Inspired by the “Tennessee… “ Thread
Yes, the initial post was correctly placed but the thread has strayed for a bit too long. The courteous thing to do is for a poster who wants to continue with the drift would be to start another topic, in the right area. A good recent example is Faldaguy starting "Do you get more help when wearing a...

Very natural looking outfits, would hardly get a second glance.
I am impressed with the chimney pots, well beyong my modest skills as a bricklayer.
I am with Tom regarding the Zephyr, also preferring the poor man's Aston Martin look.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large
I like pockets but most are not suitable for more than my keys in the right pocket and small change in the left. No hope for carrying a phone, wallet, pen, shopping list, mask, small measuring tape, etc. I purchased a good quality small leather shoulder bag a few years ago and now would not be witho...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large
A funny thing happened on the way through the checkout. The young woman behind me was wearing an almost identical denim mini skirt to what I was wearing. As I hadn't shopped for some time I had a large trolley load and we were there for some time. She did not seem to notice or certainly showed no si...

I think the top in the top photo looks a bit long but the second pic looks great.
People rarely stare, except the rude or those with a mental health problem. Many will give a glance, as it is unusual to see a man in a skirt, but with no malice.

Welcome to the cafe and thanks for the great story of your debut into dresses.
The term frock isn't used much in Australia, probably due to our perchant with rhyming words.

Re: Almost No Skirt Options!
If you limit yourself to what is current, at major stores, then skirts are in limited supply. Individual charity stores are luck of the draw. Ebay, Poshmark and similar online sources, I find best for choice. In Australia the Salvos charity stores have gone online and I have bought a couple of nice ...

Re: Items on eBay
Looks like fun with a good amount of flare. Size 12 is good for me if it has belt loops. I nearly pushed the go button until I saw it was a size 12 months ........... hmmmm I don't think that would have fitted. Some lucky baby boy might get it. https://www.picclickimg.com/d/l400/pict/175208502417_/E...

Re: Wearing a skirt in Palm Springs.
If called hotels and most seem very open to it. Also may try and golf in a skirt if any courses allow it. Sounds like not all hotels seemed open to it? It would be strange for an organisation to not be encouraging a potential booking, unless one encountered a bigotted employee who personally has no...

Re: Windsor Tweed Suit
Not tweed but I think this one looks OK for a skirt suit. It is a size 8 (Aus, UK) I would need a size 10 skirt and a size 14 top. It reminds me of the problem my partner Heather had, as she had polio as a child and one foot ended up smaller than the other so always 2 pair of shoes were required. We...
