Re: A certain satisfaction

Each morning, with bleary eyes, I can aim my feet towards just one opening and get it right first go. Front zips on skirts do fly in the face of logic but as most denim skirts have front zippers I can live with that as I don't have to mess with it for the rest of the day. Most of the day I am not co...

Re: As nature intended or a smooth operator?

I am happy enough with what my DNA prescribed.
I think it is just personal taste, like skirt length of colour. I don't think that anyone should be feel compelled to have smooth legs when wearing a skirt, male or female.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Another shopping trip today, busy as usual but managed to get to one op shop (thrift, charity shop). I was wearing a 14" khaki mini and looking through a rack of "ladies wear". There were 2 ladies running the shop and one I had not seen before called out to me, "Looking for something for your wife?"...

Re: Dyeing issue

That is a big difference in tone. Have you tried washing just the pockets with the new powder to see if it will wash some colour back out of them?
Have you thought of concealed pockets - seamed slits with pockets inside the skirt?

Re: Public safety in skirting 2021

Society: " Be yourself " Also Society: " No, not like that " Very good Perhaps the system works after all. And this is why I hypothesize that perhaps this is why pure socialism, no matter how well intentioned it may be, eventually leads to authoritarian fascism, because there are no private interes...

Re: Public safety in skirting 2021

I wasn't sure to post this here or in the thread about logic in the world. It does seem strange that the ones demonstrating about freedom (to dismiss election results,to bear arms and not wear masks, etc.) are the ones to criticise someone exercising their freedom in choice of clothing.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I was repairing stonework at home (as usual) wearing an 11" khaki cotton mini skirt (quite common) when the phone rang. It was a delivery of roofing materials that arrived in town and I gave the driver directions "opposite the Police Station" and just had time to grab some keys and change into a 12"...

Re: Public safety in skirting 2021

Just wear a Trump badge when you wear a skirt, that would confound them. Try not to live in fear as that is so debilitating for anyone. The news is usually portraying the worst and not the greater percentage of normal activity (I didn't click on the link for that reason). Certainly it is a tu...

For those into dresses. Has everything going for it (linen, flare, colour) except for the top of the bodice that looks like eyes popping out. https://www.picclickimg.com/d/l400/pict/265004270139_/Alice-McCall-Strapless-Dress-Size-8.jpg https://picclick.com.au/Alice-McCall-Strapless-Dress-Size-8-2650...

Re: Got a skirt you are afraid to wear?

I have some micro skirts, less than 11", that I would not wear in public. I will wear them around home and if someone called in that's OK as I am on my own turf.

The challenge of balance I think and they are very successful in that regard.
