Re: Corona Virus

After the UK health minister appeared on TV yesterday warning that the elderly and those with health conditions were likely imminently to be told to self isolate for 3 or 4 MONTHS, it's not surprising that there's panic buying!

Scary times indeed.

Re: A different introduction

Hello and welcome to the forum Satseq. Great to have the view from members' other halves. My wife is mostly OK with my skirt wearing and is willing to go out with me ( most places) skirted. She's even come along to a couple of Skirt Café meetups! I hope things continue well for you and Tackleberry, ...

Re: My landlord's wearing a skirt for a month!

Hi cessna152towser - great to hear from you again - I've missed your postings on the café. I usually wear a jeans skirt for medical and dental appointments. Sorry you weren't at our recent Scottish meetup in Glasgow. It was a good day, but shame it was just 3 of us skirted guys plus my wife. Maybe w...

Re: Scots and The Kilt.

To get back to STEVIE's post, I agree that most Scotsmen don't own or regularly wear a kilt these days. Until I discovered this forum a few years ago, and through it gained the courage to wear skirts in public, I would often wear one of my two tartan kilts. One is in my family tartan, and I've had i...

Rokjesdag

Sunday (22 April) is Rokjesday, the first day of the year on which many wear short skirts with bare legs (a Dutch festival). Here in Ayr, Scotland, I think today was our Rokjesdag - it was warm and sunny, and several women I noticed, and I, were wearing short skirts, sandals and bare legs. For those...

Re: Hi, from South Wales (UK)

Hi Pete, and a welcome from Scotland. I hope your skirt wearing is continuing to go well - it gets easier the more you do it. I just discovered your post about Skirtfanatic.com. It can only be good for us to have a skirt seller know and mention that some of the customers are men buying skirts for th...

Re: Support from the wife

Its ok with me if a man wears a skirt, Just not My Man! And there it is right there... To my knowledge Jenn has never called me "her man". To say that implies I am her property . I am NOT. Nor is she "my woman". Slaves are property. I am neither slave nor property. I am her husb...

Thanks for this VoxClamantis, a lot of useful suggestions, and reminders of things us regular skirt wearers known but sometimes forget!

Re: Fashion in general

I think this quote from the article is particularly relevant to us: "Similarly, Yves Saint Laurent was a great emancipator of women. If you tell your young daughters, as I did, that as recently as the 1960s, it was frowned upon for women to wear trousers, they will be so shocked that I guarante...

Re: Another (almost) Skirty Scot

With very few exceptions, my wife also refuses to be seen with me in public when I'm wearing a skirt. To tell the truth, I think the whole thing is more of a control issue over something she really doesn't like than resistance to the thing itself. Well that is what all women try to do. Control the ...

Re: Halloween plans skirted, kilted or other?

Halloween party outfit2.jpg I’m going to a charity Halloween hafla [an informal gathering where dancers perform belly dance in front of an audience] with the theme “Princesses go bad". I’ll be going as a Goth Princess - a blue prom dress, spiky leather choker and other goth accessories, ripped...
