Re: New skirts for men from Canada
I hope that Alana is on the mend and will be OK! Yes thank you for your concern. She should be recovering fine through December and will be back on her feet by January we hope. We are moving forward none the less though. With any new up-start there are always bumps in the road like this. But this b...

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
Thanks for inquiring! Yes we were hoping to have images up at the end of October but Alana fell ill and we missed that deadline. Because of this we had to bring on a new designer: Richard. He will be picking up where Alana left off. Once everything is situated we will for sure put the storefront up....

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
Yes it is funny how even though we have the technology to make must about every bight and vivid color in fabric, much of what we see in fashion is bland and subdued. India obviously does not follow that trend but unfortunately the quality of their fabrics are often sub-par for many reasons. I would ...

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
Is the "David" essentially a sarong? The David is based off of a sarong. We are working with a few additional concepts like flaring out the bottom in contrast to the top in order to introduce more 'flow' to the garment. Once Alana (our main designer) has punched out the details we will le...

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
Will the Neill actually be a skort? I do not believe the Neil will be a formal "skort" (where the garment is a skirt in the front and shorts in the back). The skirt will wrap completely around but there will undershorts involved. This approach would eliminate Neil's concern about 'rubbing...

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
What the author of the article misses, however, is that as women gravitated toward more masculine (the author uses the term "neutral", which I would dispute in context) styles it had the effect of pushing the guys farther and farther into a corner that there's no escape from. Like "g...

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
Here is some noteworthy information for the pink and blue argument: http://www.smithsonianmag.com/arts-culture/When-Did-Girls-Start-Wearing-Pink.html I found this fascinating when I learned of it about a year ago :). There is plenty of documentation everywhere but how many people actually know this?...

"...rather than trying to bend their desires to fit our designs." Is Apostrophe in an experimental phase? The Apostrophe brand is new, but the label built upon the 20+ years of experience of our design and business professionals. So yes the lines are new but the expertise is very establis...

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
Am I being dense? Where are the links to the pictures? Earlier it was stated that we are now working out the first photoshoots for the Apostrophe lines. In past posts I have included pictures from my television show that broadcasts in our local area. We will have more formal "good" pictur...

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
If someone should choose to start with a "stealth skirt" I will give him credit for trying. Yes I agree. Skirts can be a very powerful fashion statement and I must say, I do like making it. We also know most men have never tried wearing a skirt, let alone wearing one in public. Therefore ...

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
All of the designs mentioned sound like they could work really well, but I'm going to hold out for pictures before really committing. On the notion of "stealth skirts", I suppose they have a place for the timid but I find that I get along just fine with the fact that I'm wearing a skirt i...

Re: New skirts for men from Canada
I worry about the fasteners and the strain on them when I sit and my gut "blobs out". That's the advantage of wrap-around; you can adjust it to your waistline (and your diet) from day to day, tightening or slackening the belt as needed. I fix my kilts and other wrap skirts with a belt rat...
