Re: WARNING!!!

One of my tricks to phone scammers is to answer the phone with hola in a thick voice and when they don't answer me back quick enough shout it at my loudest. Keeping a thick accent I ask them to repeat stuff multiple times. It does waste their time..and is a lot of phunn. I used to be pretty g...

Re: Telegraph podcast

I don't understand the need for masculine skirts and dresses. Statistically there is a difference between the shapes of male and female bodies. I can accept that. But there are many different forms of the male and female body that are just a little or a lot away from those statistics. There is also ...

Re: Storage of skirts

Opposite my bedroom there is a closet. A long (two closets wide) 1" gaspipe was the main hanger for my clothes. Behind that there was a PVC pipe of 1" not in use because it was difficult get there. In my bedroom there is also a 1" pipe for the clothes. When I started, I was hiding the skirts in big ...

...... Nice holster in pic with neat workshop & empty shelves! In MOH's world empty shelves exist for only a few nanoseconds after they are installed. One cannot deploy a camera in that time. ..... Those shelves were empty because I just finished that part of the workbench. Those shelves were fille...

Re: What did you wear for Thanksgiving ?

I did most of the cooking and I'm amazed I bake a turkey to everybody's delight while turkeys and Thankgiving Day is not that welknown in the Netherlands. Because of the chilly weather I had an over-the-knee heavy denim skirt on. I had to pick up friends and I could do it in that skirt without feeli...

Re: Wooden creations

Is this the situation before or after the hurricane? ;) I see two battery drills from this distance. Is one equipped with a bit with teeth around the shaft that eats it way through wood? It must feel very liberating to do work with timber instead of doing micro-movements in somebody's mouth. A serio...

Re: WARNING!!!

Answering in Dutch might have the same effect, at least in the USA. I have tested it on Jehovah Wittnesses and in combination with my skirt (quite short because it was summer and I was in the house) it worked perfect. I must be on some sort of black list because no more calls at the door at 7AM since.

Re: WARNING!!!

If I don't recognize the number AND the name on the caller ID screen, I don't touch the phone. It took some time to have my wife, who believes in the good of people more than I do, on the same page.

Thank everyone for your kind words
It looks like the same happened to you as with La tour de la Chaîne when the powder room blew up. ;)

Re: Hello from a French guy

Welcome to this forum. It proves at least the French are still stylish. I was born in the Netherlands and traveled a lot in France. My marriage 10 years ago to an American lady prevented me from moving to France, the area of La Rochelle.

..... Another question, where will you find a pile of (flag)stone waiting for you?
In his trailer of course. Never go unprepared to the bush. I bet he will have a nice cool beer after all his digging and hacking. ;)

......... The BAM firm building it is Dutch anyway. ....... I preferred not to boast about that fact. https://www.bam.com/en A Dutch company has to be in very good standing before they deserve the title "Royal." Re: Before I Wore Skirts I Never...

....... Heck, before skirts I never worried about colour at all; all that mattered to me was that I was covered (which drove my late ex- crazy until I started wearing skirts and actually started showing some interest in how I looked). Before I wore skirts, I could not co-ordinate colors but I did n...

Re: Bridges...

In my early career I worked in structural engineering. Think steel framed and cladded buildings such as factories and you'll get the picture. Consequently I may be one of the few people who can go into a new building such as an airport and spend time looking up at the ceiling to admire the steelwor...

Re: Bridges...

The Netherlands are a delta, formed by three main rivers of Europe. We had to make a lot of bridges to cross those rivers because of the extreme dense population. Being a mechanical engineer, I'm of course interested in this kind of constructions. The only problem is the way they make those videos. ...
