From Kilt to Skirt
I have been wearing my Kilts for about 3 years now. I have tried a number of times to buy a decent looking skirt for my build and look. I gave up and continued to wear the Kilts. A few months back I was reading a post about converting jeans into a skirt and thought about all these pairs of khaki sho...

Re: UtilityKilt Vs AmeriKilt
Gerd You are correct. The Cotton Kilts are fine, but require constant ironing or steaming. The Synthetic Kilts are wash and wear. Just hang dry or even in the dryer. Sit on it for hours and it looks great. If you want them in Synthetic just annoy Michael a bit. He has finally said he will ask his su...

Re: UtilityKilt Vs AmeriKilt
I have tried on a Utilikilt. I didn't like the way it fit me. I have 8 different Amerikilts and a dozen tartan kilts. I have 3 favorites in the Amerililts, they are not the normal cotton material that Michael uses. These are made from Polyester and don't require any ironing or steaming. They also we...
Re: Kilt Mods
The Practikilt is snaps only with belt loops for a 2" belt. I sewed the pleats about 1/8" from the folded edge with great results. I've been wearing it to work and out and about with good comments coming back. Last night I compared it to a utilikilt. The edges are almost as I did them. The...
Kilt Mods
I bought myself a couple of Practikilts from Mueseum Replica's. They are Ok, but I found them a bit under done as it were. The pleats just wouldn't stay in place. I found myself some thread to match the kilts and sewed down the pleats. This acrually really improved the look of them. The 2 hours of w...

Re: Practikilts
I'm not disappointed. For $49.00US I wasn't expecting great things. It has been a good experiment to see if I like the concept rather than purchasing other and much more expensive options. Your correct about designed by people who never have to wear them. The tag says made in India. If you wear it w...

Re: Practikilts
Well, I bought a couple of the Practikilts from Museum Replicas. Had some trouble getting the paypal to work, but talked to them on the phone and got it going. They where delivered here in Canada in 4 days. This is actually my first Kilt, and now know I want a better one. The fabric is light and doe...

Re: Who Shaves
Hi All I shaved my legs a number of years ago and enjoyed it. Recently I have begun having trouble with spider veins, Vericos veins and swelling after a bout of MRSA. I have to wear support socks and I have been trying support stockings and support pantyhose looking for cooler option especially sinc...
