Re: Denim dress

Denim doesn't bother me. In skirted forms. Trousered forms, forget it. Especially more expensive "fashion" jeans. They wear out very quickly. My issue is that there isn't enough freedom of motion, so I frequently wind up tearing the crotch out while jumping over a puddle. So, I haven't wor...

Re: men in business skirt

Sleeveless dresses and tops are one way to rid yourself of said farmer's tan. I've been fairly successful in eradicating mine. The fur, if you like it, then keep it. In my case, I tend to run too warm with it, even in winter, so I keep the fur above my elbows, on my legs, and my torso cleaned off. S...

Re: Wearing a skirt to a Clinic

Over the past 10 years, there have been three times when I've visited a clinic or doctor's office, etc, while trousered. The rest of the time, been skirted. Never had positive nor negative comments. I highly doubt that people are going to make a stink about someone showing up at a doctor's office in...

Re: Skirt Do's & Don'ts

Like Fred, I don't worry about it. Only open the door enough to provide easy ingress/egress. I also typically don't park on a street, instead in a lot, that way I can have another vehicle next to me. Granted, I'm not driving a vehicle with suicide front doors or a Jeep without doors, so the door doe...

We celebrated on Wednesday, so the outfit shown in my thread was the one I wore.

Re: How many countries have you visited?

Three so far. US, Canada, Mexico. Only visited Nogales, Mexico - a border town just across from Nogales, AZ. In Canada, I've visited Vancouver Island, the mainland of BC up to Kamloops, then up to Calgary, Alberta. I haven't been to Canada since 2004. Partly because it started to become a hassle wit...

Re: Member names

Mine was created when, to get family tolerance of my skirting, I had to wear 9-yard wool kilts. It did mean that I accidentally took kingfish's old username from the original Tom's Café bulletin board, but, oh well. Now, it's not as accurate, as I'm pretty much able to wear any skirted garment and h...

Re: Skirt Wearing by Women Increasing?

^They might've been thigh-high stockings, which wouldn't be as bad. I find that a pair of trouser socks or sheer knee-high stockings can actually have a cooling sensation, while skirted. Tomorrow is supposed to be a bit warmer than today was, btw. Will be out running errands in the outfit seen in my...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Indeed, and is the primary reason why I eschew The Kilt. There's simply too much baggage attached. I've got enough problems already, I don't need to knowingly add more to the pile. It's also one of the reasons why I've stopped wearing the ones I have (and sold one of them off already) and stopped v...

Re: The Man in the Dress

You can always wear a shirt over a sleeveless dress (tank, spaghetti strap, or no straps at all) and turn it into a skirt. Did that tonight with the dress I'm wearing at this time. Threw on a t-shirt and it became a lightweight skirt.

Re: Man-cami

This all reminds me of the inane "Manbun" name for a hair bun, if it's worn by a guy. I guess we should start calling a bun being worn by a woman a "ladybun" or a "womanbun"... With respect to camisoles, etc, they are comfortable to wear. That said, I find that not havi...

^Looks like one of the newer Utilikilt designs... Kind of a combination of the standard and the neo-trad designs.
