Re: Health Concerns & Costs

^This. We have a 5500 watt generator that pretty much can run the whole house when the power goes out. We can't run the microwave with multiple items also being on, nor can we use the dryer which uses 5600 watts, but, we're usually not without power for more than a few days where I live. Another opt...

Re: Corona Virus

The far left as well as the far right media have made it look like the US is burning to the ground but rest assured we are not. I take the news with a side of laughter as it is all bullsh!t. Last night I was watching a news broadcast and in the space of 3 minutes the commentator counterdicted himse...

Another short dress outfit: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49545314142_b3e97f1923_c.jpg A short skirt outfit from 5 years ago, today... No longer have this skirt - got permanently stained, but have a couple black ones and the orchid colored one that's identical. https://live.staticflickr.com/87...

Re: Has anyone else worn a really short skirt out and about

Shortest I've done was 16". I usually do about 18-19". Worn at the navel, hem comes to just above the knee. Worn at the 2" above waist level where most high-waisted skirts are worn, my fingertips do touch the hem. These are obviously very full skirts, hence the hem length. I suspect I...

Re: Corona Virus

Here's another thing. The professor who wrote this is someone on the left, btw... https://cliffmass.blogspot.com/2020/04/why-outside-air-is-safe-and-park.html At this time, in the Seattle area, there are few areas where you can get out and be in fresh air, unless you're in your yard or walking throu...

Re: Are you using the remain in place rule to your advantage?

Not much change. I did realize that I can probably save some water and detergent by doing whatever shopping I need to do while wearing a tube top/skirt combo or a dress instead of a shirt and skirt combo. Reason being is that I find that I rarely touch the middle-lower part of my torso with either g...

Re: Gas prices...

^This.

Anyway, where I live, 92 octane premium gas (what would be considered between 98 and 100 RON in Europe) finally dropped about 50 cents from where it was on Monday. Went from $3.92⁹ to $3.49⁹ a gallon.

Hmm! Kinda sorta reminds me of this: http://cdn0.sbnation.com/imported_assets/714351/mc-hammer-picture2_medium.jpg He would've done much better to have cut the bottom part of those parachute pants off and turned them into a full skirt. Actually did that once with a pair of palazzo pants that I orig...

Did get a nice Utilikilt comment from someone this afternoon. Same person mentioned that he had the 32nd UK made... So, he predates my journey by at least 12 months or so.

Re: Skirt Wearing by Women Increasing?

Yesterday afternoon, here in Seattle, the weather was spring like. (Last February we had snow storms). Noticed a woman in a dress walking her dog. She wasn't wearing a jacket or anything over the dress. Notable because I have hardly seen any skirted women since early autumn last year. There have be...

I don't think there are that many walking genes in the American DNA these days.
Yeah, for the most part. Unfortunately. Hoping to change that for myself, at least.

Slightly. I love your sense of the ridiculous; she will be puzzling over that for the rest of her life.

Alastair,

It was a bad time for our family, so... I won't go through everything in detail, since it's not really pertinent to the topic at hand, though.
