Re: bike riding

What better way to get some sun and exercise, and doing it in a skirt! Today was no exception. partly sunny, little wind, and 65F. So on with the 16" denim skirt and t shirt for my 5 mile ride. I've done it before dressed like this, with no problems, other than maybe the occasional flash. Getting o...

Re: RipSkirt

I’ve had one of these for a while and it’s my favourite skirt. Can’t remember where I got it which is unfortunate as I’d love another one (or two), can’t find anyone who sells them in UK. It seems that RipSkirt will be shipping to the UK and EU this spring. You can sign up to an emailing list to be...

Star Trek TNG Men's Skant pattern on eBay

Here is a favorite of mine - - - It is called a SKANT - - - I'd love to get my hands on some of these totally cool dresses, skirts, robes, etc.... Those outfits look remarkably like idealised 17th century, strongly influenced by the American Colonial period. Patterns should be available... Used Goo...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Great story Victor. :D It's really encouraging for us other guys in skirts that you received such a high level of approval. Like you, I'm yet to be fully convinced about wearing a dress out in public. I bought a navy blue, corduroy pinafore dress recently but still don't feel comfortable in my mind,...

Re: Safety Tips for Winter Driving

Riding your bike is much safer than your car. I own a mountain bike with fat snow tyres, and I'm still waiting for the first snow in years in this country. Oh well, people do react when they see me riding on that bike. Nice bike Marica. :) The fat snow tyres must have a suspension effect and give y...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

geron, the blood is taken from the vein on the inside of the elbow. Where did you think it was taken from? I went to my doctor's (GP) surgery to have a blood sample taken this week. I can confirm that the nurse took the blood from the vein on the inside of my elbow. She raised the vein with a rubbe...

Re: Can skirts coexist with a belly?

I wear a bib dress regularly and have no problem with the straps at all. It is really comfortable in a casual fashion. Steve. I bought a pinafore dress a while ago on eBay. There wasn't a proper picture of the back of the dress in the listing. When I wore it, I found that the shoulder straps were a...

Pinafore/Dungaree/Jumper Dress?

No-one seems to have mentioned a Pinafore or Dungaree Dress in this thread. Edit My apologies to moonshadow. I've just realised that the American term for a Pinafore/Dungaree Dress is a Jumper Dress . The advantage of these is that one can wear any shirt with them that one prefers. Pinafore_D...

Re: Unusual not quite stiletto heels

I found these unusual 'not quite stiletto' heels . The heel shouldn't punch holes in flooring like a 'normal' stiletto heel and may even be a bit easier to walk in? What do you folks think? Buy or avoid? ASOS RAID Lianni feature heel court shoe in black patent.jpg Well now, that’s certainly interes...

Re: Are older cars safer?

Did you catch that back seat view of the driver in the Bel Air? It jammed the steering wheel right in his face! Also note the entire top of the Bel Air folded into the cab, while the Malibu's cab seemed to stay intact, with the engine compartment absorbing most of the impact... Science is cool! Yes...
