From the trailer it looks like Eddie Izzard talks at least a bit about what it's like to leave the house in a skirt. (He's also wearing a strong nail varnish colour from the pictures.)

It's definitely good that you can now mix and match. That is, just because you are wearing a black skirt doesn't mean your obliged to wear the black ribbon. You could go for the smart white tie option. Perhaps I should get my first (only!) degree converted to an MA after all...

This morning I was lounging in a reasonably short denim skirt and warm tights when the doorbell rang. As my wife was busy, I answered the door to the postman who showed no sign of shock, surprise or interest in my attire. I thanked him politely and the world continued as normal.
