Re: Corona Virus

We just got back from the grocery store. I am starting to feel very anxious due to the things happening around here. First, the grocery store is only allowing so many people in at a time. You have to stand outside waiting to get in. I wonder how this will work in inclement weather. Second, police h...

Re: So easy to forget ones trousers!

Another time, I decided at the last minute to put on a slip for extra warmth, instead of snow pants. On leaving the house, I was walking to the bus stop, and still felt cold under my long down coat. It took me about a block and a half to realize I hadn't put the skirt back on after donning the slip!

Re: So easy to forget ones trousers!

Don't be too hard on yourself; Wait until you get to work and find that you did not bring pants :) It was the time that I forgot my skirt that got me. It was so cold, I wore snow pants for the commute. When I got to work, I realized I hadn't packed my skirt. Had to buy the cheapest skirt we had ava...

Jeeze, that moron they interviewed who forwarded the message. One of my acquaintances sent that to me, and I'd block them.

Re: Meggings

For the most part, I prefer the look of the ones designed for ladies, but they tend to need extra elastic in the back to stop them sliding down, and if you don't have good legs/butt, can be a bit unflattering. I think I look OK, but I wish I'd had the nerve when I was younger. I still don't have the...

Re: Corona Virus

One of my friends, who has strong reason to sweat this thing has been doing some independent research on this using the State numbers and indicates that the rate of infection has slowed as of today, which is very good news. I'm not sure where he's getting his data from, but if it's the same feed I'...

Re: Corona Virus

Slightly different cases. The current swing towards most people wearing masks is due to the realization that it reduces the risk of the wearer spreading any illnesses they may have. Reduces . Not eliminate the chance. That's the main purpose in this social distancing. You can't eliminate the risk o...

Re: Corona Virus

Masks, hmm, I used to do face fit testing in the last place I worked. We withdrew the paper masks once we saw how useless they were, although we were trying to keep stuff out. To stop you infecting other people, used that way they would be a bit more effective, although you will need a lot of them,...

Re: Coronavirus, how are you managing at home?

I'm sleeping a lot, and reading everything I have in the house. What I should be doing, is working on some projects. Wish I had a cat.

Here is a graphic link and simple explanation for the probability, math or otherwise challenged of social distancing:

Thank you, very useful. I already knew this, but it's helpful for educating others.

Re: Corona Virus

And the WHO has it from 1-14. I realize I wrote it with absolute certainty (up to) - probably not the best as it could be longer, and 14 isn't the average. What bugs me is we still have a lot of uncertainty on this thing, all from how long it survives on different surfaces to whether it is aerosoli...

Re: Harassed while skirted

I have had precisely one instance of someone lifting my skirt, and for a second, I was severely shocked. I was talking to a young couple at work when it happened. I froze with what must have been a photograph worthy expression on my face, then spun round. To find the couple's adorable 3 or 4 year ol...

Re: A Contrarian View of Miss-identification

While I miss my hair, it's more because of function, than looks. I dislike wearing hats, but not as much as I dislike sunburn, or sunblock on my scalp. Being bald does, as you have found, tend to vastly reduce the incidence of misidentification, so I don't know whether I would take the opportunity t...

Re: The Perceptible Willy

Codpieces, I have mixed feelings about them. They have been in the past, fashion accessories, as nzfreestyler said, roughly equivalent to a push up bra. I could see myself using something similar if they make an entry into something like mainstream fashion. My objection to them is the concept that I...
