Re: Bizarre skirt

My opinion on that is not suitable for this venue.

Re: Féminine outfit but not skirt

Another version of this could be what would otherwise be called a Pinafore dress.

Re: What do you wear on your legs with skirts

I don't normally wear stuff that sheer, it feels a little too femme for me, though my thinking is changing on that. I do find any kind of hosiery causes more disturbance in the force, compared to the skirts.

Re: The things people will say

I have generally become more dressy or formal in my clothing since wearing skirts. T shirts and the like are very unisex, so by going for slightly more formal shirts, and trying to coordinate things, I'm trying to inject a note of deliberation into the look. On the subject of what people will say, I...

Re: Féminine outfit but not skirt

I have a problem with the term "feminine" What does it mean, and what are it's connotations? I'm not looking for answers here, more trying to clarify my own thinking and intentions. Most of the stuff in your first set of pictures I would not wear hope, though some would work for me without heels. I ...

Re: What do you wear on your legs with skirts

I thought I'd post about how I'm dealing with the cold weather of the last week. It's been hovering around -30C, with windchills getting close to -40C (which is also -40F.) End of last season I found a long down coat, which reached to mid calf on my 6'2" frame, and I managed to stretch some tall boo...

Re: Star Trek loses an icon

I loved the character Odo, but I had no idea he played Father Mulcahay as well. Obviously a better actor than I knew.

Re: It's getting COLD!

You are not the only one to get cold feet. Tomorrow night it will get in the very low 20s here. After wearing skirts for so long, I had to wear jeans today when I had to do some shopping. I had to visit the bathroom and I needed some time to realize I had to use the zipper to get my business done. ...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Two women mentioned my shirt, a rare occurrence. Was this a way of them saying "I notice what you are wearing" without mentioning the skirt? The shirt was from our local thrift store and is a man's shirt made of silk that was by coincidence about the same color as my wife's shirt. This has happened...

They look interesting. What size did you get, and what are your waist/hip measurements? Not sure if I should go for L or XL.

Re: Fashion

To get back on the thread . The female mini skirt was replaced by the maxi skirt in the early seventies . ......The Mini returned possibly a decade later. Can anyone remember when It returned ? In the late Autumn of last year the Mini came out as a very short tight skirt . The hem of the traditiona...

Re: Teenage boy turns up to school in a SKIRT

Another kid using a skirt to protest a uniform. Once he gets his way with the pants he wants he'll ditch the skirt. Sorry... but this gets a yawn from me.... Eh, maybe, but his complaint was about the discomfort of the new trousers. I bet he finds the skirt more comfortable.... Also, has anyone inv...

Re: Comfy

I like the way some skirts and dresses look on me, and while I'm not averse to exaggerating some aspects, I try not to make a feminine silhouette. I think I'd enjoy actual crossdressing, if, I could make an attractive and believable woman. When I think about why that may be so, I've come to the conc...

Re: Why we wear skirts and how does it feel?

"Why do I wear skirts?" That's a complex question as it touches on so many facets of who (and what) I am, so the answer is quite predictably complex, but the basics of the matter boil down to "comfort", "I like the way they look on me", "I enjoy the sensations of wearing one", and "I like being a b...
