Re: Computers playing around?

Damn, they're getting good. I note they have just been bought by Hyundai. Wonder what they're gonna do with them?

Re: Finding an El Kommando Kilt

I haven't seen Mountain Hardware sell them for the last couple of years. Unless someone makes a Chinese knock off, your only hope is to add it to your wish list on ebay.

Re: First white Christmas

I remember one Christmas eve distinctly in the UK, when we went out for some extra drinks, and to our surprise, it had started snowing a few hours before. Everything was white! A nice surprise. Around here, Calgary, it's been extremely mild season up till now, but earlier in the week we received abo...

My opinion is that regular pants can bunch up. Tights, pantyhose, leggings etc, generally do not.

Re: Interesting news for space geeks.

Here's a nice little "documentary" talking to some locals about their attitude to Starship, and examining the various groups and people who were there to record the event. The launch and landing is captured from several cameras and viewpoints, as is the reactions from those watching. Nice ...

Re: Interesting news for space geeks.

The 3 engine, 2 engine, 1 engine ascent was deliberate, as was the relatively slow climb out. Didn't look like it, I agree. Starship on it's own can't get anything like a useful payload to orbit, for that it needs the super heavy booster, with 28 raptor engines. Can you imagine? I also think...

Interesting news for space geeks.

On December 6, The Japanese space agency JAXA returned samples collected from asteroid Ryugu. On on around the 16th, China is expected to recover samples from the Chang'e 5 mission to the moon. Both of these missions while probably providing interesting information, are also examples of building spa...

Re: Voting Machine Problems

I just got off the phone with a very pleasant lady at the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, I called the Tennessee chamber too, but had to leave a message. It was regarding the decision of the AG of 17 states in particular (WV and TN being among them) in their move to flat out toss mailed in ballo...

I'm trying to find a 6" dobsonian locally, but they're all sold out. Even online sources are only taking preorders!

Re: Voting Machine Problems

So, this clip is dated but still proves that voting fraud has happened, and IS HAPPENING TODAY :!: The "programers" are getting better at hiding their trails. That a fault was found in some system in 2005 does not prove it happened in this election. Indeed, most of the swing states that u...

https://youtu.be/vW-ImCVDsWk Carl, this video makes me think of some of your post here... It would seem that YouTube has decided to block audio for folks using Firefox on Linux platforms. I can see the video, but hear no audio. I'd be curious of your thoughts on a so called "people's party&quo...
