Re: Dresses!

Dresses are the final frontier.....The ones I have now are really girls' ones converted. I agree. So much easier to wear a skirt (with masculine overtones) than a dress. I have many skirts but only two dresses, that are not converted in any way, and look a bit too femme for my liking but are very c...

Re: Research in skirts for men

Do you have a partner? If so, how does he or she reacts when you wear a skirt? Married with young children. She doesn't like it but tolerates it when we are at home alone. Definitely a no no around the kids. This is sad. I have 3 boys 8,6,5 and they own and wear thier own kilts of my design. [Edite...

Re: My newest two

That one with the dragon print is outstanding ! Top marks! Were you working from a pattern, and what material is the thing made from? A Walmart patern, and it's a light cotton print. My 5 year old has a long sleeve button up in this fabric, I have no idea where or when he got this shirt but I thoug...

Re: My newest two

Well done MD! I like those two, and especially the converted overalls. For some time now, I have been musing over the conversion of some bib & brace overalls, probably the "Key" brand from the U.S. I do have some 'Levi' brand skirtalls, but they are not as practical as the keyalls and...

Re: Men in kilts are HOT!!!

In countries like Australia, the idea of men wearing skirts is as foreign as foreign can be. Most of the time if I wear the skirt it isn’t noticed, and when promoting skirts for men this isn’t always the goal that I am hoping to achieve. Maybe not if someone is merely passing by in the street. But ...

Re: Men in kilts are HOT!!!

just reflecting on the position here in Scotland! Why? Do you think there are more kilts on the streets of Scotland than elsewhere? I'm not sure. I have a feeling that for the average Scot the kilt is just another skirt and should not be worn by men -- except on Burns' night, of course! Martin In t...

Re: Last snowfall (I hope)

Agreed, a wet cold can be horrible. I lived in louisianna 90%+ humidity year around. 3 years ago I was down there on the first week of February a freeze came through the water hoses froze almost instantly. It was the coldest I've ever been. I don't know who was more stupid me for standing out in it ...
