Having had one of those things a while back, my only advice is wear some decent underwear as you may bleed slightly after the procedure and may even need to use a pad for several days. Personally I would go the loose pants but its a free choice. Dave Cheers for that advice. I had already thought th...

Skirts for hospital visits

Early next month I am due in hospital (as an out-patient) for a colonscopy. Interesting news today that a certain aged Texan is having the same procedure. Anyway, I've worn long cotton print skirts to this hospital before so know there's no issue, but bearing in mind the location of the procedure (o...

Check Debenhams as well. They have a sale on at the mo and I have picked up a denim skirt (which I'm wearing) and a knee-length purple and lilac banded cotton skirt - both for £7.50 each! They have all sizes available when I was there 2 hours ago (Folkestone branch). The assistant who served me clea...

It's worth remembering that Tunisia has a long association with Western Europe (particularly France, but also Spain and Italy) and is a secular society with a modern democratic society. To compare Tunisia with other Islamic countries is therefore inappropriate. Tnisia is considered by many to be the...

An earlier report also said: Delcambre Mayor Carol Broussard, earlier this week confirmed he will sign the proposal "to make wearing saggy trousers an act of indecent exposure", the BBC reports. He said: "If you expose your private parts, you'll get a fine." To absolutely clarify...

To be honest I get such an uplift from wearing a skirt that I don't need to even consider anxiety for the rest of the day. The downside is when I have to take the skirt off because of someone else's problem.

I had an appointment with my consultant today at a hospital the other side of the county. This called for a train journey, changing at Ashford International (Eurostar terminal). All good reasons to don a skirt for the day. As the weather today was more autumnal than spring-like, I wore a 3/4 length ...

So many decent brews in that area that beat Old Peculiar into the mud! Paul Theakston's Black Sheep Brewery has Black Sheep Special (4.1%) and Rigwelter (5%). A Rigwelter is a sheep that has fallen into a ditch and can't right itself. Fall into a ditch wearing a kilt and imagine the scene!

I was less than 10 miles from the epicentre and there was certainly some movement at the appointed hour. Our power failed instantly.

The only injury was a young lady in Folkestone, 70 or so buildings are in the process of being condemmed.

I have just fired off an email to Levi's having found the right form of words: I note that you have now introduced two skirts for young males and I applaud this advance in your fashion scheme. I would like to know when a male-engineered skirt or kilt will be available for those over the age of 7? Th...
