Re: gender-inclusive skirt

S*d the black one. I liked the pink kilt that was being demonstrated. Elasticated waistband, adjustable fastening, nice baby pink colour. The only things missing are - pockets.

Waistcoats can be tailored to accommodate your boobs. A couple of darts inserted at the appropriate points.

Re: BusinessWorld: Will the perfect men’s dress ever exist — and would men wear it?

nz, a waistcoat should end one inch below the trouser waistband so therefore should pair up with a skirt without any problem. But since a jacket in a skirt suit is generally shorter than a man's suit jacket then in theory this could be a problem. Or not. I have googled this and the pictures I have s...

Re: I have to confess!

The problem with the dresses is that they are designed specifically for women. Like, I mean the necklines are designed to emphasise the boobs. Yes, I suppose that there are a few men that do have breasts that could benefit. But when you look at the dresses in most cases they have cups built in to ta...

What an exuberant look. I love the waistcoat, it's a long time since I wore one. I used to wear three piece suits all the time along with a pocket watch.

Re: The Religious Discrimination Bill

Over here we are nominally a Christian country but not really a religious one. The Church of England is a shadow of its former self. With the increase of non-Christian population there has been an increase in the number of mosques around the country. The chances of such a religious discrimination bi...

Re: BusinessWorld: Will the perfect men’s dress ever exist — and would men wear it?

Mostly common sense although the initial suggestions could be summed up in one category of tunic with pants of any sort. The suggestion with a skirt looked wrong as the proportions seemed completely off. Nothing really knew learned but some things confirmed.

Re: Hello

Welcome and has been pointed out fit can be the limiting factor in dresses. Dresses are predominantly made for women and you have probably noticed that they are a different shape to us men. It is possible though, like searching for that pearl. Skirts more easily fit the male body even skirts designe...

Re: Sowetan Live: The skirt reclaims popularity in men's fashion

It suggests "Wear it under slim or skinny fit trousers with boots...." Surely they mean over trousers as wearing under trousers would be pointless.

But whereas a welcome trend, alas not local to me.

Re: Corona Virus

I look at it this way - if they don't care enough about their own lives to get vaccinated then why should anyone else? The only pity is that, unvaccinated, should they catch covid and become seriously ill they take up so many d*mn*d resources to treat them for what is a self-induced condition. Hospi...

Re: BusinessWorld: Will the perfect men’s dress ever exist — and would men wear it?

I've posited before - take a T-shirt and keep adding an inch of material at a time. At what point does it cease to be a T-shirt and becomes a dress? I asked my wife that question and have not had a good answer. I have a couple of what I call tunics - short sleeved T-shirt but a bit longer but not re...

My final word on this. If you think England is an oppressive master then, if you do get independence, don't go into the EU. You would be getting yourselves into an even worse position. In that respect, even if you don't appreciate it now, we've done you a favour. If you achieve independence stay ind...

Re: Corona Virus

I see customers spending hundreds of pounds on household goods and they are not even Christmas presents! As for our family we don't really bother with presents. What do you get the woman that has everything? We don't need any more baubles and trinkets. If we need anything we buy it. All we need is e...

Re: World leaders and skirts

Well, quite the nationalist, aren't we? As far as currency how a fully independent Scotland would treat its currency has not yet been explained. The options are quite well explained in the following publication: https://www.instituteforgovernment.org.uk/sites/default/files/publications/currency-inde...
