Re: Tunic, dress or caftan?

It's a question I have posed to moh. At what point does a T-shirt become a tunic become a dress when the garment is lengthened? I have a yellow "tunic" that is really too short to be a dress but too long for a T-shirt. And I have a black "dress" that is one inch longer than the &...

Re: Butchering the English Language

A man goes into a bar with his small pet newt called Tiny.
“A pint for me and a half for Tiny, please,” he says to the landlord.
The landlord asks, “Why do you name him Tiny?”
The man replies, “Because he’s my newt.”

The earliest I remember is Old Mother Riley. I recall watching the films in the late fifties.

Depending on my mood I'm either an optimistic pessimist or a pessimistic optimist.

Hi there, Ron. I seem to recall that you wear them all the time now and they look great on you. I guess that people around you are used to your look now. Love the purple one too.

Re: Skirt Wearing by Women Increasing?

The problem, Steve, is money, really. My wife says that she will always love me whatever what but I get the impression that there are lines that, if crossed, would not stop her deciding that, love or not, she could no longer live with me. Division of resources could be painful.

Re: A sad bit of news

Over here the land is the major cost with any home and insurance covers site clearance and rebuild to a similar sie and current standards. Building and contents are separate entities but it is usual to have them both with the same insurance company.

Re: Tennessee Senate Bill 3

It sounds likt this bill will have unintended consequences unless defined very, very carefully. Two recent examples from Scotland. Sturgeon brought in rent controls ( freeze ) in order to stabilise things for renters. Just at a time when increasing costs caused private landlords to sell up, decreasi...

Re: Tennessee Senate Bill 3

Perhaps it is the accessorising that defines the impersonisation. Thai is the addition of the padded bra, makeup and wig. Most of us do not go that far and the beards of some members emphasises that the are very definitely male. Perhaps we should all grow beards!

Looks fine but why buy this when you can get alternatives at a fraction of the price?

Re: Hi all fellow skirt wearers

We own folding bikes which don't have a top bar as in a conventional man's bike. So the mirror has to go on the handlebar.

Re: Language Replacement

A family friend who is a GP in Belgium claims to speak, Dutch, English, Flemish, French and German with a smattering of Italian. Apparently this is dictated by where she lives and has patients who use each of the languages.

Re: Forum Etiquette

Carl, the timeout doesn't work for me. I leave a login session for days/weeks on end. I can close the laptop lid on a night and open it up the next day and the session is still there. Also I don't think I have ever had an edit session timeout either. Not that I am complaining, only observing. Intere...
