Re: What is good (and bad) for a man to wear with a skirt
I enjoy looking through old threads as I can see slight changes in perceptions and tastes. Do it for yourself and you'll see what I mean! As for what I wear with my skirts - well I just try and co-ordinate the colours but just wear regular shirts, t-shirts and in this cold weather pullovers. Fot the...

Re: For thoose who it concerns ...
I see it as my purpose on this site to resurrect old threads. My ONE AND ONLY reason for not wearing skirts out of the house is the displeasure of my wife. The opinions of my children, while important, wouldn't stop me from wearing a skirt outside. When pressed my wife admits that she would be "...

Re: What makes a skirt masculine?
I'll try and resurrect an old thread again. I have been more engrossed in the skirt as an object of clothing in its own right and not put very much thought into its integration into the whole look. Yes, if I'm wearing a yellow skirt then I would wear a complementary top and tights but I wanted to go...

Re: Headbands
I have hair just below my shoulders and I either wear as a ponytail when at work or use an Alice band for more informal wear. The colour is just black at the moment but I am experimenting with other colours. The only problem I see is with overtly feminine ones.

Re: Dresses
The label inside the dress is Etam and it is a size 20. Just shows as I take a size 14 or 16 in skirt. I don't know where my wife got the dress from and when she got it. It could have been in her wardrobe for years.

Re: Where is the best place to buy tights?
I find the value range is fine, just go with the height indication on the packet as others have said. I am 5ft 8ish so they fit me great. I have plenty of the light deniers but am wearing the thicker ones at the moment for warmth. Holdups work for me as I don’t have big thighs – I can imagine that t...

Contacting the retailers
Whilst in my local ASDA store recently I observed the latest range of jeans for women in the bright greens, purples and other colours and then looked at the men's isles of trousers and jeans in boring, boring blue and black and it really depressed me. I am not afraid to wear bright colours and have ...

Re: Dresses
Well, until recently I was only a convert of wearing a skirt and thought dresses a step too far. I have frlirted with the full looking like a woman and have rejected that as not for me so I am definitley not a cross dresser. I still think of high heeled shoes in this way even though I have some and ...

Re: Do folks notice or not?
crfriend, I am what I am and no longer make apologies for it. I'm in my late fifties but look younger ( no grey hairs, minimal wrinkles and long hair mostly in a ponytail ), my wife admits that and refers to me as her toyboy. I am diabetic but otherwise in not bad shape. Good genes I guess. But I'm ...

Re: Do folks notice or not?
Well to get this thread back away from politics (ahem). Butlins has been booked and I am really looking forward to a few days away with my family. Now I need to manoeuvre soon a conversation with my better half about me wearing a skirt while there so that the suggestion comes from her and not from m...

Re: Do folks notice or not?
The phrase should be "short <pause> button through denim skirt" But I see where you are coming from. Just to confuse me a bit more my wife saw the ebay page for a long skirt I was looking at and said "I thought the idea was to show your gorgeous legs off and the thick tights were to k...

Thank you all for your submissions. I feel better that there are others out there who are going through a similar situation. couyalair She is insecure but has no reason to be. She always has been but that's just her nature as I have given her no reason to be. I tell her that I love her several times...

Re: Do folks notice or not?
Hi skirtyscot, Thanks for your reply, it does my confidence wonders to know that I have support out there. Well things are going along as normal. She hasn't mentioned anything about it since but yes I take your meaning that silence doesn't necessarily mean acceptance. And yes I meant confess in it's...

Re: Do folks notice or not?
Well, I put my proverbial foot in it tonight. My wife is only ok with me wearing skirts around the house although I would be comfortable wearing them outside. I am not to be seen outside in a skirt otherwise everyone would know how strange I am. To tell my story briefly and missing out some things -...

Re: First Out In Public
I have yet to make my first public outing as I am waiting for my wife to become comfortable with it. Your first time is a bit like a rite of passage isn't it? At least that's how I'm looking at it. Off to Egypt tomorrow for 2 weeks holiday and have promised not to take any skirts. I will probably re...
