Re: A beautiful skirt
I would say keep the mesh for now and see if you get used to it. You can easily cut it out in the future if you really don't like it. If it was my skirt I'd keep it but that's just my personal taste.

Re: A beautiful skirt
Thst skirt appears to have built in petticoats if you look at the last of the three pictures at the start of this post? I am a regular petticoat wearer especially in cold weather but even in summer I wear slips so I don't have to wash skirts so often.

Re: My slip is showing!
Whilst viewing The Skirted Man's website I discovered he is a fan of slips and sometimes even deliberately wears them so they show a bit below the skirt hem! Check out the following link:

A man after my own heart I think.

Re: What have you discovered through wearing skirts and dresses?
In a nutshell: comfort. In hot weather it's good to feel a breeze go right up inside a skirt; you don't get that even with a pair of shorts. Also in cold weather you can layer up with slips and petticoats to keep your legs warmer than with just a pair of ball nipping trousers.

Re: My slip is showing!
I always wear slips with my skirts. They help the skirt to hang better; sometimes the skirt can cling to stockings causing bunching. They also protect the skirt from sweat so you only need to wash a separate lightweight slip rather than a much heavier skirt which will make the skirt last much longer...

Re: Confessions
Great job. I like the confession section especially the 'I think I'm addicted to petticoats' section. This resonates with me especially in this cold weather.

Re: Lacoste x le FLEUR Men's skirts
It's my kind of length and style but would prefer different colours. Price way too high for me though. But it's good manufacturers are making skirts for men.

Incerunmen
I don't know of anyone else has come across this website which I found on Pinterest; they sell skirts for men amongst other items of clothes. I'd be quite happy to wear any of the skirts on offer; they sell kilt type skirts through to a long tiered gypsy type skirt which would be comfortable to wear...

Re: Have you still got your first skirt?
This is mine: a denim pencil skirt from the now defunct British Home Stores. I don't wear it any more as I prefer slightly longer slightly A-line denim skirts.

Re: Is this a gender neutral skirt?
£3,440 for this skirt? https://www.farfetch.com/uk/shopping/men/thom-browne-mid-length-buttoned-skirt-item-15614625.aspx?storeid=12016 I'd be quite happy to wear it but I would prefer if the decimal point was shifted 2 places to the left. I might just pay £100 for it seeing as it's wool. Only proble...

Looks like great skirts for warmer weather. My kind of length as well.

Ah! A fellow Whovian. Those wrap skirts look quite good on you. A bit too short for my tastes though; nothing shorter than knee length for me and I prefer midi to maxi skirts. I have a couple of maxi unisex wrap skirts; very comfortable in hot weather.

Re: Why we wear skirts and how does it feel?
I wear for comfort; no constricting of the nether regions as in trousers (pants for you U.S. types). In summer I typically wear either a midi length denim skirt or an ankle length unisex wrap skirt, bit like a sarong, with a thin slip or petticoat underneath so I don't have to wash the skirts so oft...

Re: Another type of skirted clothing
I always wear silky slips and cotton petticoats in bed. Absolutely hate pyjama trousers riding up in bed pinching my nether regions!

Re: International SKIRT Day
To keep warm in cold weather simply wear petticoats. I always do and it works a treat.
