Re: Techniques you've used to get more men into wearing skirts

I'm about 14 years older than you and I've worn denim quite often. 9 out of 10 times, the material was soft - not scratchy. I guess it depends on the manufacturer of the denim. Manufacturing processes have greatly improved. Until you wash it..... I'm a regular denim skirt wearer. To avoid the rough...

My tutu has a similar problem of not being opaque, but I'm not sure if I like it much.
Maybe wear the tutu under your sweater dress as a petticoat?

Most days for me.

Spotted on Pinterest

I spotted this image on Pinterest; the model is wearing typical male attire except for a grey pleated skirt and a turquoise petticoat matching the colour of his shirt showing 3-4 inches below his skirt hem. Personally I thought he still looks masculine dressed as such although I think it would have ...

Re: Your Favorite Skirt Length?

Anything knee length to maxi depending on the weather and practicality at the time. My 'go to' skirt is a 28" denim midi which I wear with a slip and ankle socks in summer or a fluffy petticoat and above knee socks in winter.

Re: Dr Who Season 2 with Ncuti Gatwa

I agree the BBC article has got this wrong. All I've seen so far was at the start of the first episode where he was wearing a blue pin stripe kilt type skirt over trousers. Nothing since then. Disappointed.

Dr Who Season 2 with Ncuti Gatwa

Season 2 with Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor will be airing in the UK from this Saturday. Apparently, according to the BBC website, he will be wearing a kilt in every episode.

Re: Night shirt

My wife bought me a nightshirt a few years ago. I would like to love it, but my top half tends to overheat, and I usually prefer just PJ bottoms. I too tend to have a problem with my top half overheating if it's too covered up but I don't like having my chest completely uncovered especially in cool...

Re: A timeline and history of men wearing skirts at contra dances

I find wearing a tiered multilayered petticoat under my denim skirt keeps my legs warm in winter.

Re: What's wrong here?!

Not so long ago I got myself in trouble. It wasn't the fault of any politician or anyone else for that matter. But I lost everything, and now, nothing matters. "Any port in a storm" In that darkness, I found Christ, and it is that reason and that reason alone I didn't put a bullet in my o...

Re: What's wrong here?!

The Orwellian nightmare has already begun here in the UK. Any social media post that might be deemed to be offensive will be investigated by the police. The thought police are already here. If you say anything against a particular Middle Eastern religion you'll end up in prison. I have nothing polit...

Re: Skirts with splits

My minor irritation is that I'll grab a half slip based on the skirt length, then half dressed (or later) remember the slit and discover the old "your slip is showing" -- so back for a swap. I don't let that bother me too much; just make sure it's not showing below the hem. This is an old...

I have a denim maxi skirt for winter wear which, when worn with multiple petticoats, keeps me very warm.

Re: denim skirts

I get all my skirts and kilts from Amazon. Never had to return anything due to incorrect sizing. Here are pictures of three lengths of denim skirts I wear; previously posted elsewhere on this site. For me it's knee length or longer. Denim is quite a manly fabric and that's why I wear it. However it ...

Re: giant skirts

I have worn this outdoors on a walk around the neighbourhood just after sunset. The white fluffy petticoat, just peeking below the hem of my skirt, was worn for warmth in winter. Once I started walking my skirt rode up a bit and had almost 2 inches of petticoat on show. No funny looks or adverse com...
