Re: A new skirt
That's my kind of skirt. I have two skirts very similar in length and style.

Re: Pandemic Shutdown Skirting
Working from home as a self employed proof reader I've been able to keep the heating bill down by layering up on skirts (something you can't do in trousers). A tiered multi layered fluffy petticoat provides plenty of insulation against the cold. Save the environment, save the planet... wear petticoa...

Re: What is your favourite skirt length to wear?
My favourite length is midi in all weather types as it is a very practical length. In warm or hot weather I wear short socks but in colder weather I wear above the knee socks and a fluffy multi layer petticoat for warmth. Something like this: Denim jacket and skirt 1.jpg I do also like ankle length ...

Re: Pyjama Skirt?
The splits look way too high for me. I wear below the knee cotton or polycotton petticoat slips combined with a low neck mens vest in bed.

Re: I'm wondering what people think of Grayson Perry
I came across Grayson Perry years ago. Likes to dress up as a little girl so obviously a transvestite fetishist and has nothing to do with what we do here. We're men in skirts, not transvestites.

Re: Is this a problem?
......<snip> to keep my utlity kilts from having to be dry cleaned. :hmmm: My 5 kilts are never 'Dry-Cleaned'. The 2 Utilikilts from Seattle and the 3 Breacans from Minnesota are placed in the washing machine on a normal wash and spin cycle, then hung to dry on skirt hangers, over night. No Wrinkle...

Re: Is this a problem?
If it was me I'd wear a long plain black slip underneath of the same length as the skirt. I always wear slips anyway to keep from having to wash skirts so often and to keep my utlity kilts from having to be dry cleaned.

Re: The things people will say
At the same time, I don't want people to think I'm trans, as I'm not, even though the trans advocates would say otherwise, which then begs the question - what the heck are you? Last time I checked (and I do so daily) I'm a human male. But seriously, I understand what you mean about the trans ...

Re: The things people will say
Well, the scriptures are pretty clear on crossdressing and being an effeminate man. As for pastoral robes, I believe it is commanded in Exodous for men to wear trousers when approaching God (apparently they did exist during biblical times) There is nothing wrong with ignoring passages we don't alig...

Re: Suspender skirt
That grey number Uncle Al posted... that's the ticket right there! The others don't seem full enough... not enough flare. But that grey one... yes! Definitely the grey one. In this cooler weather in the U.K. I'd wear one of my fluffy petticoats underneath. Not only for insulation but to flare it ou...

Re: Storage of skirts
I store all mine folded up in bags tucked away in my lock up wardrobe. My wife knows about my black utility / punk kilts and isn't too bothered but doesn't know about some of the other stuff I have which I only wear when she's not around (she goes to visit friends and family in and around London fai...

Re: Autumn Skirts In Cornwall
It would be useful to have the name and address of this Indian shop you're talking about especially if it's in Cornwall. I may pay a visit. A kaftan appeals to me in hot weather, a useful addition to my tie dye wrap skirts, so good for next summer but meanwhile I'll just stick to my denim skirts and...
