Re: LA Times article on men’s skirts

As for the word "beautiful", it can apply to clothing, of course. But we generally see beautiful clothing only on women.

But skirts give men a chance to try on garments that are elegant, far more so than any trousers. :!:

Re: LA Times article on men’s skirts

I would agree with the author, for the average Western male donning a skirt is a novelty. Trying on a garment that is fundamentally different from the usual male garb, with distinctly different physical sensations.

Re: Work skirts

And now it looks like members are now starting to dress like that. Conversely, there are shorts on the market which are loose and floaty enough to pass as a skirt, go figure. My point is that we are making a mistake by attempting to apply this concept of masculinity in a clothing context. I honestl...

Re: Work skirts

To the best of my knowledge the skirts that are gaining traction are designs for functiona/ practical purposes, at least in a niche capacity-utility kilts, running kilts, purple rain/lighthearted gear, etc. It's great to have this option, but the novelty wears off, and they become included in that p...

Re: Work skirts

This thread reminds me of some older threads in which we predicted the next skirt to gain traction. We ended up describing similar designs-knee length, heavy duty fabric, good pockets. Occasionally someone has mentioned a stealth skirt, which looks like shorts. And now it looks like members are now ...

Re: Running Kilt Review

During the summer heat, I grabbed the running kilt to wear in my living room, minus a shirt.

Autumn weather has arrived, but I am still using the running kilt. I throw on the garment when I get out of the shower.

Re: Work skirts

I expect that we will soon see a dichotomy in our wardrobes-many of our skirts will be everyday/workaday garments, while other skirts will be more for dressing up. A rough analogy-a man's wardrobe may include both jeans and slacks.

Re: Running Kilt Review

Summer solstice today in Seattle. Summer heat. One advantage of wearing the running kilt today was the breeze. The breeze was just good enough to cool my crotch. I was probably the most comfortable guy around who was doing aerobics.

Re: Earthbound Trading Unisex Dress

To keep the price down I think that the design would have to be fairly simple.

Re: Earthbound Trading Unisex Dress

A few years ago Top Man marketed sarongs directly at men in the UK. They sold out. Apart from Beckham who was probably wearing something a bit more upmarket there were no reports of men in sarongs. I suspect most were worn at home. It is clear that marketing skirted garments to men works - they can...

"Looking very smart." Yes, and the reason for wearing it was sensible. This is good publicity for MIS. :D

Re: Another Skirted Score

Looked at the comments posted at the link. Have to disagree with Spike 51-no, the boy does not look ridiculous. I have occasionally looked at the uniform skirts worn by girls, and thought that something similar would look good on boys.

Re: Earthbound Trading Unisex Dress

With the pants it looks like a long tank too, that’s all. Without the pants… might be too short for most guys? It feels like it would need to be longer for your average male who is unaccustomed to wearing a skirt or dress and the hazards a shorter length present. Also, at least for me I’d feel vuln...
