Re: Shorts under skirts and dresses

Nzfreestyler, from you description it sounds like skorts. Skirt like outer garment with built in shorts.

Re: Shorts under skirts and dresses

If you are going to wear shorts, why bother with a skirt?

Re: The skirt... still a bridge too far it seems.

I am 65 years old, and grew up with the same taboos as Stevie. When I was a small boy back in the '60s, females were still...mostly...wearing skirts/dresses. And my reactions were similar to Stevies. First, I was curious about the girls clothes-these garments were strikingly different from what we b...

Re: The skirt... still a bridge too far it seems.

I have very nearly given up on e-mail. I might check it once or twice a week, and I now rarely initiate communications with this medium.

Re: The skirt... still a bridge too far it seems.

Jamie001 described what could be labeled as a general taboo against (what is deemed) feminine. The taboo against MIS is a more specific facet of this. It may be that some members may be reluctant to challenge the generalized taboo, but are wearing skirts because they have a particular interest in th...

Re: David Banda (Madonna's son) in red dress

Dresses that are low cut or have a big neck hole are intended, I believe, to draw attention to a woman's cleavage. Part of an effort to emphasize a woman's sexuality.

Re: TOS Question

jamie001, it has been commented in previous threads that the "man-box" is the size of a coffin. The coffin is so narrow and rigid that it excludes even middle of the road guys like me, let alone a feminine male.

Not sure, Dust. Can't say that I know much about Middle Eastern clothing.

Re: Pockets differences

Today I was browsing in mens wear in a Goodwill. Took a look at suit jackets. And noticed jackets with fake pockets. So I was thinking...I hope the buyer can stuff all his essentials into his pants pockets...or he will need a purse.

Yesterday, a bearded young man walked past wearing...would looked like an ankle length dress.

Re: David Banda (Madonna's son) in red dress

I think the most important thing is that this fellow was willing to try something different, rather than conforming to the herd. I will give him credit for trying, even if his particular style isn't to my taste.

Re: The skirt... still a bridge too far it seems.

I am speculating that these young men are willing to rebel-in small ways. In a way, trying to rebel, while still playing it safe. For them, skirts may indeed be a bridge too far. On the other hand, the few skirted men that Moon mentioned may have a particular interest in wearing skirts. They may hav...

Re: Scout kilt look for the world .

I think of kilts being knee length, as worn by men. I have seen images of women wearing something like a mini-skirt version of a kilted skirt.

Re: G'day all

Greetings, Tazzmac. :salut: Is "Tazz" a reference to Tasmania? I did some bushwalking there about 35 years ago.

I believe that the female garment is called a kilted skirt.

And, no, its not fair.
