Re: How old were you . . . . ?

I remember entering kindergarten and noticing that the girls wore skirts or shorts but the boys only wore shorts. I asked my parents why and they said because that's the way it is. I recall wondering about this as a boy, but never actually asked anybody why. No explanation was ever volunteered by a...

Re: Why we wear skirts and how does it feel?

Indeed,Faldaguy, it wouldn't do much good even if men did notice their attire, because there isn't much you can do with dull clothes.

In which case, you might as well pick something that you can just throw on without thinking about it.

I do hope that you will wear a top of some sort with that skirt.

Re: Skirt-like abominations

I think that moon shadow is probably right. The trousers-under-skirt look seems to be a crutch.

Re: Why we wear skirts and how does it feel?

I was formulating an answer to this question when I read CR's post I was thinking that he read my mind while he was writing his reply. A little adjunct to his comments I also feel that I look better in skirts ,maybe its because I take a little more effort when I dress . His last comment about being...

Re: Corona Virus

It was a beautiful day in Seattle. A bunch of people thought they would celebrate by going to parks/beaches and barbecue.

The beaches and parks will now be closed. Closures will be enforced by cops.

Re: Corona Virus

I am in healthcare (an LPN) and am still working. Not on the frontline, as such, but do home care. I view myself as rather lucky at the moment. Any way, work givers me a reason to get out and about. Otherwise, the grocery store would be the only place to go. For exercise I do brisk walks around the ...

2. Looser styles like circle skirts, skaters or A-Line.

3. Wear a kilt! Sporrans cover the bulge, and kilts are widely accepted
This can work with a fairly narrow A-line. For example, the Macabi knee length.

Re: The Perceptible Willy

I speculate a lot of it has to do with this "modern day" puritanical ideology that the west is founded on. At one time men and woman alike were expected to remain VERY modest. Around the mid point of the 20th century, women began to break those chains of modesty and, save for the topless issue are ...

Another friend has abandoned her plans to visit Europe this year.

My big trip of the year was to be a family reunion in June. I suspect that it will be cancelled. I hadn't quite got around to making any reservations.

He commented that the lockdown is boring . We walked a few blocks to a small grocery store, and were required to put on gloves upon enter...
