Re: fairly full denim skirt

To my mind any kind of short pants are a fashion crime except on very young boys (or girls). Kirbstone: On mechanical things, I do have a very nice kitset model steam engine. The expensive part though of course is the boiler. There is a very nice British made one available, made to look like a Victo...

Re: Man-skirt day! 1st June 2014

Me too I guess, but the women I know are all very positive towards me in my skirts/dresses, even if they are never seen in them themselves. Every day should be skirt day in my opinion. As an aside, here is my dreaded Facebook page, a repository for all sorts of stuff irrelevent elswhere that I get a...

Re: fairly full denim skirt

What a great timepiece! Proper things can always be fixed. Took a few years before needing repair!!

Here's quick shot of the little kitchen clock-radio. Have to do something about the radio dial..

Re: fairly full denim skirt

Can't say I have ever been one to carry the time on me much over the years, but my time here at home is provided by an electric clock-radio, cica 1940's. I had to rewind the motor coil, and the bearings were (are) so worn, that the ridiculously small and fine cog teeth were out of mesh. What I did, ...

Re: Panny in your pants

Around here I never see women riding bicycles or wearing skirts.
They all wear really skinny jeans/pants and drive fat cars.

Re: Another reason to wear skirts

Yes, when I used to wear jeans I snapped my glasses in two bending over with them in a pocket.
No prob in this, easy to pluck from left top pocket:

Re: It's not just me spouting off

The difference Ian is that the Scots and Irish became US citizens, here the Kiwis come over the Tasman remain NZ citizens but expect all the benefits that Australian citizens have and then complain bitterly if they do not get these benefits. John I have an idea there are more Australians in New Zea...

Re: Wearing a skirt to court!

When I said I was defending myself, I then got all the documentation. That's how I found out who my accuser was. Even though he was blacked out, holding to the light revieled all. A great suvenir though is my wonderful Police mugshot, which I had mounted. It's a classic, and I'll see if I can get a ...

Re: Wearing a skirt to court!

I've always found, when dealing with any officialdom, a white t-shirt, not a black or other coloured one is best. I have to say I looked a lot smarter than the grunge on some of the other defendants in the holding pen at the preliminary hearing when, if one pleads "Not guilty" you are rema...
