Useful Blog & other sites
Hi all, Apologies for the silence but I've had a difficult year with family illness (not me) so haven't been doing any shopping or wearing; unfortunately it's the 'C' word so is likely to go on for some time. If and when I get a chance/courage I may post some pics up. Anyway to take my mind off thin...

Re: Urban Apparel
Some good looking skirts for men on this site, though the available sizes would be too small for me:- http://www.theurbanapparel.com/index.php?cPath=24_90_130&page=1 OK I guesds although I'm sure it's possible to find similar in the Uk or on Ebay without the shipping costs. OT I liked http://ww...

Re: Playing it safe
Congratulations PatJ. Being a Scot wearing a kilt has no fears for me but for those that aren't it's a great step - well done. Don't worry about "playing it safe", we all have to start somewhere. As you found wearing a kilt and I, wearing a (woman's) skirt, the biggest problem is in the we...

Re: Browne: skirt suits for men
That should look great, Davemcwish! Tell us how did it go! Juan It's going with me on my hols in September *this* year. As I'll be away for 2.5 weeks you need to wait until the beginning of October - have patience my friend. Dave, maybe my eyes need replacing, but what is that dip in the front of t...

Re: Browne: skirt suits for men
I like this idea and hope it catches on.
I've just bought this skirt to go with this suit.
I'm taking it on holiday in September - I'll let you know how I get on.

Re: Purse or Man's Bag
Just bought my first bag. It's from the same brand (Oriano) as the pic below but slightly shorter and with 2 end pockets

Re: I have been asked to do an interview about my Utilikilt for
It's perfectly acceptable for men to wear kilts - us Scots have been wearing kilts for 100's of years. I'd find out who the writer is and have a look at any of their previous interviews to understand the style. Also try and find out the angle of the story then by looking at threads on this forum you...

Re: Purse or Man's Bag
Hi, Due to the usual absence of pockets in skirts, and an aversion to stuffing pockets with stuff when there are pockets, I began using a shoulder bag some years ago. I'm afraid I now have 7 or 8 of various sizes and styles. This is the most recent acquired, very spacious and comfortable to carry o...

Re: Too Feminine - is there a tipping point ?
As the OP I probably should probably stop hiding :hide: as the thread wasn't going where I had thought. First off I didn't intend this to cause a response that would make skirtingtherealissue remove his picture and description. I was trying to use it and example of what I was trying to ask. If an of...

Too Feminine - is there a tipping point ?
Being Scottish I'm well used to wearing a kilt but really like the idea of wearing a skirt. I guess my initial assumptions was to find really masculine styles/materials e.g. denim or something that wouldn't be too noticable; possibly this or this . I do appreciate that we all have different views on...

davemcwish Intro
Hi all, I'm a thirtysomething from just outside London (UK) that's been a lurker for a while so I though it a bout time I introduced myself. Being Scottish, I am used to wearing 'skirts' albeit of the kilt variety. I have two:- This one inherited from by uncle:- http://www.tartan-finder.com/images/z...
