Re: Why was Girl's Jeans locked?

I am posting this, which I intend to be my last post on this forum. I hadn't planned on posting any others at all, but I took a peek on here just to check and see if I'd gotten any responses to some PM conversations because my spam filter catches the notification emails sometimes. I saw that Bob and...

Re: Supernal clothing

[Digression removed] SF, As far as my impression of the garments, they're ok, I'm not a big fan of the long one or the leather stuff. The only one I could see myself wearing is the black kilt, but being stateside, It wouldn't be cost effective for me, I'd just go to Sportkilt for a similar garment, ...

Re: Supernal clothing

Someone needs to tell those folks that a skirt pleated all the way around is not a kilt. No apron, no kilt. :?: Hold on, aren't you the guy who wanted to call all skirts for men kilts in order to get more men to be willing to wear them? Regardless though, all six kilts I see listed on this site hav...

Re: The term "crossdressing" -- pro and con

Innskin, depending on the cut, I don't really agree that doing those things are "lady like" as much as they're just polite. As in, hey try not to flash people as you sit or bend over since you're wearing an open hemmed garment. (by the way, even in pants, bending at the knees to pick stuff...

Re: A (Skirted) Man Walks into a Bar...

The problem with the designation of certain acts as "hate crimes" is that they elevate the status of one class of individual (the "hated" in this case) above the legal status of everybody else. This makes the law a complete hypocricy -- "bad legislation", if you will. ...

Re: A (Skirted) Man Walks into a Bar...

The above scenario of one person kicking the living snot out another is already well covered by quite a few statutes, and said act, being felonious, would trump the "gender expression" laws rather handily. It's a case of, I don't care why the individual was beaten up, just that they were;...

Re: A (Skirted) Man Walks into a Bar...

Carl and Bob, I think you're looking at it backwards. The law isn't written in regards to why you're wearing what you're wearing, it's written in regards to why someone is discriminating against you. The law is about the perpetrator, not the victim of the discrimination. So for example, if hypotheti...

Re: A (Skirted) Man Walks into a Bar...

I guess I don't see what the million dollar aspect to the question is. If the law protects against discrimination for gender expression, why wouldn't that cover a guy in a skirt? Unless you think the person who might harass you is going to be someone familiar with the male skirted movement and just ...
