Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I've worn kilts and skirts for some years, but not enough out and about. Usually I don't get much more than a few smiles from the ladies although once a London busker struck up a tune with 'Donald where's your troosers?' Today walking on the sea front at Harwich harbour, I had a proper mood booster ...

Re: "Unisex". Let's just stop it.

It's not unisex - it's 'agender'! This is an article from Saturday's Times (copied as it's a subscription site). Call me cynical but I can't see any change happening soon. Maybe I'll try to buy a skirt in Selfridges next time I'm in London and see how serious they are! Seems the comments are more ab...

Re: A Lidl help in the UK

My wife doesn't approve my kilt wearing and wouldn't buy me one, but she mentioned the Lidl offer and I treated myself to a Hamilton Grey kilt, good value for money - just one drawback, I bought a larger size to allow for Christmas over indulgence and the size was too generous, took it back but coul...

Indian fashion

Stumbled across this report, no comments posted on this but I think the article is generally positive and both the styles pictured are more wearable than most of the 'designer' offerings. is it too much to hope?

In today's Sunday Times was a hopefully encouraging article (at least for younger readers). The link is http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/style/fashion/trends/article1038634.ece but as it's subscriber limited I've pasted the text: (still the emphasis on designer wear - it'll never catch on if we h...

Marc Jacobs

I don't often follow the fashion pages but came across the following pics: Marc Jacobs shows off a skirt w/Victoria Beckham hope the link works but if not copy & paste to your browser - it's really about Victoria Beckham but Marc Jacobs gets to show off his skirt. Shame he couldn't have made him...

I wish I'd known the Terracotta Army was still on! I was torn between working at home or going to BM - chickened out in the wind! It would have been good to see another kilt out and about. I bought the cheap (around £50) black kilt from the Highland store you mention and have been pleased with this....
