fairly full denim skirt

While trawling through eBay, I came across this skirt that is from Dungarees online. I am very tempted but, cash flow having become a drought stricken dribble, may have to hold off for a while. What do others here think of it?

Re: Dresses!

The dress I ordered nearly six weeks ago has finally arrived. Living so far out of town, we get a card informing that a parcel is to be picked up at the main Post Office. Either the card was not sent out, or it inadvertently was put into a neighbour's box. Anyway, I got an URGENT REMINDER card, and ...

Re: my new running dress

Norstdresses, I have a dress that is as short as your running dress which actually would tick Sinned's boxes as well in the collar department. When I get photo manipulation software on my laptop (the dinosaur computer is, at present, dead) I will post a picture. The one problem I see with such a sho...

Re: 10 years at the cafe

A little over six years of enjoyment on my part, having joined after IMFF fell over. if I remember rightly, the relentless avalanche of spam was too much in the end. Carl and the admin. team do a fantastic job keeping this place free of such rubbish and, just while the subject is here, thanks you bl...

Re: A $75.00 Saloon Piano

Just my take on this but, if anyone is looking for an old piano, steer clear of the overdamper action. These older design actions are a right pain to regulate and don't damp properly especially in the treble. The modern underdamper has been around now for over 100 years in the quality brands and are...

Re: Two Years, No Pants

Daryl, you'd better be careful with that "p" word that came after pattern. I don't know about the U.S. but, in Australia, it is a derogatory term for a male homosexual and, I'm sure, is sometimes muttered under their breath by the ignorant great unwashed on seeing us skirted in public! :P ...

Re: When Windows was fun

I also have fond memories of software that ran on Windows 3.1 and came on the real floppy disc. This could, by typing out some numbers, create a fantasy landscape which could be mountainous and have the valleys filled with water and then treed with either pine or hardwood. This wasted time beautiful...

Re: Transportation

When trams were in their heyday, this was the middle class hoon mobile. A year earlier than my late lamented tourer, and only two wheel brakes, but I want it. Did it occur to anyone that I was born at least 50 years too late---if not 100! Restoration is nearly complete bar the upholstery and hood/si...

Re: City of Adelaide

You see, the nasty stuff never happens in clean weather and it almost always happens at night. Well, with the Titanic (or was that really the Olympic! there's some debate that there was a clandestine switch made by the company due to technical problems!!!) there was calm weather then, but excessive...

Actually, after the ritual expunging of the Naval renaming, she had the original name restored.

City of Adelaide

No, I'm not talking about the capital city of South Australia, but I am talking about the oldest clipper ship. This, at the moment would, to the untrained eye, resemble a very large amount of firewood, however she is to be shipped back here to Australia where she will be restored to beat the Cutty S...

Re: New to all of it

GF started saying how well it woud go with her, wine coloured top,---- My S.O. often says similar things regarding some of my skirts. Actually this is a good thing, as I have enough alternatives if she has her mind set on the particular skirt I was going to wear to function, and it keeps her positi...

Re: the first male skirt to meet success?

The first male skirt to meet success would be a skirt that was "mass produced" to a specific unalterable pattern. Now here is a picture of a Roman soldier at the height of the empire. Someone in that skirt, with the attendant strappy hobnailed sandals, was to be treated with extreme cautio...
