Re: Biker Bar

I have similar good experience with bikers. I had had a coffee at a gas station and when I went back to my car I could see about ten bikers on their machines were on each side of it. They all looked at me when approaching and when I was at the car they all greeted almost heartedly, like had I been o...

Re: To Kilt or not to kilt?

Dust, I think you’re right, assuming that a tartan kilt will stand more out than other kinds of skirts. And so it must with all its colours. At least I have more reactions when in a tartan kilt than when in an ordinary skirt or utility kilt. That said; I feel the tartan kilt is much better accepted....

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Its Just using the one name for Kilts and the similar skirts , As far as I am aware The Kilt and the skirt are normally worn by different genders. In my experience in a Scottish Kilt wearing community , the male wears the Traditional Scottish Kilt and the female wears a female skirt..... I would st...

By the way, I still have to see a dress, in which more than just one or two men might look acceptable.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

We stopped in a town in Arkansas for gas and lunch, and I popped into a Walmart to buy some sodas and beer, only to discover it was a dry county. I didn’t think such things existed outside Utah, but that revelation was enough for me to become aware of the odd looks. No wonder, those people are the ...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Sometimes I wonder, whether children 2019 know that skirts are worn /expected to be worn entirely by women? They never or seldom see their mothers wearing a skirt. That they haven’t seen their father or other men wearing one might be sheer coincidence. At least I have, when out and about, several ti...

Views of a Leave voter, OK, Thoughts currently being thunk by me while totally sober: Why did I vote to leave the E.U.? Re: Sporran chain/strap/hanger ?

I prefer a leather sporran strap over chain straps and hangers. For men of some substance I think hangers have an advantage, however. Making a leather sporran strap is an easy DIY project, being it simply a leather strap around 3/4 inch wide and with a buckle in one end and holes in the other to adj...

Its a shame more men haven't yet discovered the joys of wearing skirts; not just the extra ventilation and comfort but also the ability to wear colourful "leg wear".
My opinion as well.

GERD, Where did you buy those skirts and what brand are they? Are they wrap skirts? great look. Happy-N-Skirts, https://i.postimg.cc/WqDDpM45/C-A-tartan-skirt.jpg The grey tartan skirt I have bought in a C&A store in Switzerland back in 2014. The length is 19”. It is closed and has no pleats. Re: kilt skirt

Unless you think of participating in some Scottish event, you can buy a kilted skirt - in the correct size - and wear it without considering to have it changed. https://i.postimg.cc/bsW6TSvQ/DSC-7142-600.jpg A tartan skirt, closed and with a zipper on the back. It is taken for a kilt. https://i.post...

Re: Going out for the first time. Outfit suggestions?

trdrl92,
it is about one week ago that you were to wear a skirt first-time out. On Manhattan. And you had all the good reasons for doing it and not being afraid. Did you manage, or did you after all chicken out? And if you made it, how was it?
