Re: I have a little problem

CR, I hate that for you. Some things hurt the body, but some rip at the soul. When the "one flesh" of marriage is torn apart there are no words to describe the anguish. Time does not heal that sort of wound, but it does let it subside to a dull ache.

Re: I have a little problem

We are coming up on 34 years together. One of the most important things we have learned is that in a marriage a certain amount of elbow room is essential. Without it destructive friction is inevitable. Even back in the 90's, when this was Tom's Cafe, Jean would sometimes make my day by buying me a n...

I have a little problem

As I have aged I have tended toward below the knee skirts. My problem is this: my wife has been raiding my closet. I'm happy to share, but I never get my skirts back. But if mama is happy, I'm happy. The other day we were out shopping and we ran into a friend of hers who admired her ( my! ) mid calf...

Re: Does wearing a mask make it easier?

Bob; please double check the source of your information -- they sound suspiciously like some of the conspiracy theory and denier sites that proclaim facts, but have not backed them up with valid evidence. I've lost two close, nearby, Friends to Covid -- so it was real to them, and me. The millions ...

Re: Does wearing a mask make it easier?

I'd like to ask you folks why you are so terrified of a virus that is about as dangerous to most people as seasonal flu? The common test used for it is not certified for diagnostics, and is specifically not for virus detection. The test returns as high as 90% false positives, and every "positiv...

Re: Does wearing a mask make it easier?

You fool, BobM - putting your personal issues before the welfare of others. Would your god do that? Hypocrite. Keep away from people. It’s for the best. If masks work, and you wear one, why are you concerned about me? You might as well put up a chain link fence to keep mosquitoes out of your yard. ...

Have not, and will not ever, wear a useless muzzle.

A Little History

For the edification of those who think men should confine themselves to pants: In mid 16th century Italy you’d have laughed at men in pants, pants were named after the famous clown, Pantalone. In 393AD Rome, you’d have been leading the mob to exile men in pants after the order was issued by Theodosi...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Kilts are nice and i wear my utility kilt alot, But light weight skirt is way more comfortable. Just so. Original kilts from the late 18th century used a lot less material than is used now. Six, seven, eight, even nine yards of wool is a guarantee of discomfort especially while driving. They may sw...

Re: Postive Wife Support

My wife and i were in Hendersonville ( NC ) today with some long time friends from Florida. I'm always in a kilt or utility kilt when we go out, and it is rare to get any sort of comment at all. Today there, were two things that were fun. First, we were outside an upscale resale shop and my wife say...

Re: Mum lets son wear dress to her wedding

It’s an important step in understanding that no one should tell you what you can or cannot do with your body. That is utter nonsense. There are a great many things that one is not permitted to do with ones own body. One may not get ones own body drunk, then dtive, use illegal drugs, use your body t...

Re: Non wrap kilt

Yes, I still have two "Original" Utilikilts. Personally, I think they are the best ones Utilikilts ever made. I have a dozen or so "real" tartan kilts, but they are nowhere near as comfortable as the Original UK. The nylon "Spartan" with the elastic waist is also very n...

Re: Why we wear skirts and how does it feel?

Socially I admit I believe they have isolated me, or at least contributed to that isolation. I've lost friends, and basically lost family over it. Everyone is embarrassed to be seen with me so.... yeah. I underestimated how vain the people in my world are. I constantly struggle to retain any love f...
