Exactly. A relationship built around deception is doomed.

Re: How old were you . . . . ?

Came home from the hospital in a dress, and didn't have a pair of pants till kindergarten at age 5. Then just a kilt now and then. I was 12 when I next put on a skirt, and the rest is history. Of course such was not at all acceptable 60 years ago. I finally said to hell with it and went public in th...

Re: Where will we be in say... ten years?

In the mid 80s I thought men in skirts would be casually common by the 90s. Wrong. In the late 90s, when Tom Manuel started Tom's Cafe I thought, "O.K., another few years". Wrong again. Somewhere around the year 10 I was sure that, at last, men were coming to their senses. Not so much. Here we are a...

Why should a transgender person have to be brainwashed to satisfy the false beliefs of other people? We are in Backward Land. de·lu·sion·al /dəˈlo͞oZH(ə)nəl/ "Characterized by or holding idiosyncratic beliefs or impressions that are contradicted by reality or rational argument, typically as a sympt...

Re: Another reason I hate Tennessee

If there is no God, then what is the foundation of civil law? If there is no God, then the civil law is only a matter of opinion, and who can claim the right of enforcement of opinion? People, ignorant ones anyway, like to claim that you can't legislate morality, but that is exactly what the greater...

Re: Another reason I hate Tennessee

Here is a true statement: for any passage of Scripture there is one, and only one, correct interpretation. There may be a hundred applications, but only one interpretation. The law of non- contradiction applies. Non-contradiction definitely applies, but a passage can have multiple meaning. Take Old...

No man nor boy should have to play the trans* card to avail himself of a simple article of clothing. To imply otherwise is to undermine males as to their status as human beings. Full stop.

Re: Another reason I hate Tennessee

That is not ALL the Law, but the ceremonial Law, dietary laws, and so forth were specifically done away with by Jesus. The moral law, Commandments, and so forth still have full authority, and Christians are answerable to God for them. All valid points, Bob, but that section specifically is the core...

Re: Another reason I hate Tennessee

If a man does not understand something, is it fair for him to criticize it? May an electrician comment negatively upon the work of a plumber? "The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit, neither can he know then because they are spiritually discerned". In our times the bible is consta...

Re: Flower Boy at Wedding

cr, you have said it nicely. Men, the real deal, are an endangered species. The very idea of "toxic masculinity" is absurd, based on the specious notion that men, especially white men, are at the root of all the evils of the world, and if they (we) could just be emasculated by constant ridicule the ...

Re: (Good) Comments are king.

Judgment calls are the basis of our lives. We make many such calls every day, sometimes without even being aware of it. The problem arises when we make such calls for the wrong reasons. People only see the outward appearance, God sees the intention of the heart. So, since we can not really know the ...
