Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Yesterday in Birmingham, UK A tall lanky gent. Must have been approaching 7 ft tall. (2m 15cm). Very skinny. Mostly legs. Long braided hair, looked like Iggy Pop. Black top, black T-shirt, short black skirt and about 4 feet of long skinny legs clad in thick black tights. I think the footwear was doc...

Well, there you are. God says there is neither male nor female, thereby validating the argument that gender is non-binary 😉

Re: Skirts, Pants, and Deuteronomy 22:5

A very insightful article. I’m not sure I agree with the rationale for the U.K. not getting hung up on 22.5. Scots wearing kilts are cited as a reason. I’d suggest that the main reason is that the U.K. is not that religious. In 2023, over 50% of those questioned in a survey stated that they did not ...

Re: More gender neutral retail

Rivegauche I did a quick Google search and it appears that UO are present in all parts of the U.K. when if they are not in all major cities (None in Aberdeen). Normally I’d echo your comments which are utterly valid (look how many people stupidly conflate England with the UK) - but in this case, Urb...

Re: Silly reasons for wearing a skirt.

Power cut when I got dressed this morning. Couldn’t see a thing.

Half price shorts. Only the one leg, mind.

It’s a rain guard for my shorts. Problem is, I forgot my shorts.

And so on

Re: Am I Still Welcome Here?

Jeff,

Don’t you dare leave! You’re an inspiration to so many of us - not necessary because of your particular clothing direction, but more because of your “can do” attitude.

This isn’t HHPlace. We’re a bit more tolerant here. Well, most of us ;-)

Re: Ultra thick tights

Kieran,

By way of guidance (not a hard rule):

20c or over - no tights
10 - 20c: 50 to 80 den
0 - 10c: 50 - 100 den
-10 to 0 : 80 - 150 den
Below -10: stay at home!

Re: Gender Neutral Fashion is failing skirt-wearing boys

Stu, I am entirely unsurprised by your response, especially the first line. You’re nothing if not consistent. You appear not to have taken my advice on board. That’s your right. It’s also consistent with your mindset. For the record, I’m not denying that this is a mindset or indeed ideology. These c...

Re: Gender Neutral Fashion is failing skirt-wearing boys

There is no such thing as non-binary. Sex is either male or female. That's all. This has already been thrashed out and explained ad nauseam yet you keep coming back and re-asserting the same incorrect nonsense time after time. It is becoming tedious. Are you incapable of understanding the simple fa...

Re: Ultra thick tights

I’m happy with 40-50, and some 60, but that’s my limit. No more than 60. They start getting too thick, and I may as well wear trousers.

Re: First steps in tights

I love tights. I was wearing them before I wore skirts. Indeed, I tried a skirt because I loved the feeling of my legs brushing against each other. I cycle so my legs are shaved. Not that I ever had much hair in the first place. I love sheer and shiny hosiery, with Cecilia de Rafael being my favouri...
