Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Sorry, but ill health (anxiety and panic attacks) combined with COPD and weight gain from taking medication have all combined into the situation where I have not worn skirts for quite a long time now. I can't see this changing in the near future. However, I do occasionally from into the Cafe - just ...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Sweden male train drivers wear skirts after shorts row A dozen male train drivers in Sweden have circumvented a ban on shorts by wearing skirts to work in hot weather. The workers, who operate the Roslagsbanan line north of the capital Stockholm, have been wearing skirts to work for the past two we...

Re: Guy In Camden

I visited Camden market last year - in a mini skirt. Compared to most of the young people that I saw there, I was positively dull.

I mean . . . I saw 6 inch platform shoes for goodness sake! And people call me weird!

Re: Today I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you look great. very relaxed. I can't see the skirt too well, but think that the length looks fine on you. Well done.

I like the car too! (says someone who has a 20 year-old 1.1l Ford Fiesta)

Don't need an iPod. Already have music playing in my head; a result of things I did in the seventies, I suspect.
LOL! Me too!

Just a little more news on the murder of a young girl because she was wearing Goth clothing. I know it is not directly related to skirts or kilts - but the issue of intolerance and hatred are the same whatever the target. One boy had already pleaded guilty - the other has just been found guilty toda...

I'm posting this link to a news story in the UK just to show that lethal violence against people because of the clothes that they wear is not confined to the USA. I warn you - it's a horrible (upsetting) story. Goth clothes 'prompted killing' A 15-year-old boy kicked and stamped to death a woman bec...

Strikes me, the 'victim' may well have brought this (while fully deploring the over-reaction, and subsequent consequences) upon himself. That comes across to me as a homophobic comment, and I'm not comfortable with it at all. I'm not gay and so have no axe to grind here, but that boy *did not* brin...

He (Lawrence King) was gay and had asked the boy who shot him to be his Valentine. I think that's really sweet. But I guess the boy couldn't handle that - or the fact that Lawrence wore feminine clothes.

So sad.

The Hi Vis Kilt (as shown in the photo upthread) made it onto BBC News 24 yesterday. It was about a one minute segment. Bit nudge, nudge, giggle, giggle sort of tone - but it wasn't too bad. Sort of half serious. Anyhow they had a model in the kilt - along with another guy in another type of kilt. T...

The kilt for working men has made The Times newspaper in the UK today - along with a photo of one. They look great. Here's the text: Kilt gives workers a natural breeze GOTHENBURG The makers of a denim kilt that has proved popular across Europe are hoping to sell it to British construction workers. ...
