Kilt Ironing

My wife showed me how to iron a kilt, and it takes about 2 hours.
You have to iron each pleat separately, first from one side, then the other.
I timed it and her estimate is accurate.
Her thesis is that you watch TV while you iron, but of course I am male and we don't do that.
You also have to pin each pleat in place before you iron it.
There is, however, a great alternative: the local dry cleaner offers re-pleating and does a much better job.

Woah!

You can use a trouser hanger - the wooden clamp type - to hold the pleats at the hem and then press many at one time. This cuts the time down substantially, although it remains a lengthy evolution.
