Black utility kilt

Post by DrFishnets »

I finally found a high street shop that sells black utility kilts. I already own two tartan kilts that are size 42 to 44 and 44 to 46 respectively and they fit me perfect round my navel. However, the black utility kilt I bought is supposed to be a size 46 and I really thought this would fit me as my other kilts do but it doesn’t and it’s to small which has me baffled. The utility kilt raps round me no problems but the belt doesn’t reach to the buckle to fasten it and the clips won’t reach when fastening. Does anyone know if this size 46 is a US or EU instead of a UK size.

I managed to get the utility kilt to fit me. :D

What I did was take the kilt off and adjust the straps on the first hole which is indeed 46 waste. Then I put the kilt on with the straps already joined and I can get it up to my navel. It is a smart looking black utility kilt with pockets which is a bonus because I’ll not need to put a jacket or coat on in this warm weather to carry my phone and wallet. Happy days.

I have a black utility kilt which is very useful as a safe skirt when circumstances demand it and confidence levels are low. I am sure it will be a good addition to your wardrobe.
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...

Even though I can fasten the waist belts with the buckle on the first hole on the belt strap, I still cannot fasten the clips as they won’t reach as my waist is too big so basically it’s only the belts that are keeping the kilt up. I was going to send it back but I’ll keep it as an incentive to lose weight. I might buy a kilt belt for further support on the utility kilt.

I was out in my utility kilt today and wore black tights with Chelsea boots and a black tank top and black leather sleeveless biker jacket and felt very comfortable. Only problem was I was conscious of my big belly.
