Got a compliment

I was recently in a bookstore in Florida, wearing an ankle length tiered brown skirt. I was looking at a table of books & there were 2 ladies on the other side. One of them said "I like your skirt. It looks good on you". I thanked her & told her it was very comfortable & kept me cool on such a warm day (it was in the 80's).
I have gotten very few compliments out wearing skirts. It made my day!

It's always nice when someone gives you a compliment, especially on something that makes you feel good and comfy.

Compliments are always good to get and a confidence builder. Have had many over the years. I also take the thousands who may not give a worded compliment but interact with you positively, respect you, include and involve you without question as a compliment too, but getting a worded compliment specifically is always the best.

We were on vacation, staying in Eustis. The bookstore was Books A Million, I think in Leesburg. It was attached to a mall. I wore skirts other places, shopping, restaurants, etc. No other compliments & didn't even notice anyone looking, except one waitress checking out my shoes. Those were wedgie sandals.

Same here. A compliment on my attire, especially from women tells me I’m doing it right and they appreciate my presentation.

Anyone says they don't like being complimented may have a very specific set of personal issues.
Me, I love them but this is special.
The skirt in the picture has already been shown in the Teen Toon Tuesday thread, that will tell you a lot.

There were 3 specific mentions, a young lady of my acquaintance, she took the photo.
Another young lady who works for the newsagent I visit and a much older woman who lives in my neighbourhood.
The three are very disparate in terms of age, background and culture but they all spontaneously complimented Susie's skirt.
Oh, that really pleased both of us actually.
