So I think it shows men firmly in the standard male box. The only signs that things could get better for men, for me, are these:-

Here the colour palette and pattern box was opened for this picture here, in a sea of greys/browns/dark blues and greens in the rest of the outfits.
Image

I see here the shorts getting lower in the middle, so they may as well make them a skirt. I like the coat, but it is grey. I also would like a close look at the boots.
Image

We have here another splash of colour. but the shape of the clothes is sharp but ordinary
Image

We have another skirt look, but again it is shorts with a low middle seam. The colours are terrible. Don't get me started on the socks. Split hoof boat shoes are interesting, but if you are going for a hoof look, go for it fully. https://i.etsystatic.com/26990027/r/il/ ... 9_5h7v.jpg

I kinda like this, it is a bit like a furry Onepiece I already have. https://www.onepiece.com/gb/puppy-jumpsuit-ca24316n I like the ears and the spiky claws on the fingers, but only because it is playful and outside the box. The purple colour is also OK.

So this is my take, what do the team think? what were your favs?

Thank you AntoineParis for keeping us up to speed on latest Paris fashion.

The one take away that I noticed was that there is a lot of long coats/jackets which is nice, I quite like the long ones. And as Mouse noted, colours are overall quite subdued.

Image
This looks like a robe that he is just shuffling half aside to show the trousers. A few buttons more and its a button up dress. Jacket looks nice here too.

Image
This here looks like a skirt, over trousers sure... I quite like this jacket though.

I often wonder why they bother. Presumably those young bloods are paid to prance down that catwalk, so there's considerable expense involved for the organisers and sponsors.

What would I wear? None of the exhibits, for sure.

The Cucinelli cardigan, in a heartbeat.
Love it, but that beat could be my last when I get the cost.
Tom, we seem to have this discussion after every show, these clothes are never meant to be for general sale, they're showcase pieces for the designers.
Let's be honest, the "young bucks" wouldn't be seen dead in the things you or I might wear, at any time!
Steve.

I took to heart brennk's post
Ballet Flats and Mary Janes Back on the Runway http://www.skirtcafe.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24548
earlier this year and started buying Mary Janes to wear. I am not saying I follow Paris or in anyway am I in tune with fashion. But I take ideas to add to my own style. So Paris says "Flat shoes are in as Ballet or Mary Janes" Mouse buys chunky Mary Janes with heels....

You chaps have picked the best pieces from the runway.
In general they all have a dull , lifeless look about them. Nothing super new or exciting.
Is this an extension of the rubbing out of men's fashion?

Men's fashion will only ever be "rubbed out" if men allow it.
Skirts and dresses aside, it's up to menkind to see that doesn't happen.
On the other hand if guys just cannot be bothered it's their own fault and no point whinging when it's too late.
Steve.

Stevie, don't sh*t in my mouth and tell me it's chocolate cake.
Mens fashion is dead! Men have lost! We lost the battle of the sexes a long time ago.
MIS are the only fashion left in men's fashion.

IMHO, several of the pictured outfits seem quite cartoon-ish(think Roger Rabbit).
Others remind me of the Gangster movies from the late 40's to 50's :|

These 'outfits' are not for me :|

In a word: Disgusting. Most of it looks like dirty rags from the back of the barn. I did see one nice sweater: Brunello Cucinelli

I either like to wear the standard men's coat and tie oufit, or go fully en femme with dresses, makeup, heels, nail polish, etc., instead of wearing one of those clown (in my opinion) outfits.

Stevie, I feel bad for you with that disgusting post. However, there is something seriously wrong with the male culture we have now.
No wonder there are so many crossdessers and transgender women with the ABSOLUTELY dead men's "fashions". That's a reason I am on estrogen so I can go en femme without looking like a "man in a dress". I feel much calmer, no longer consider suicide, and no longer drink alcohol to excess with the estrogen. I used to suffer from high blood pressure: 160/100 mm Hg. By the grace of God I did not suffer a stoke. Now the blood pressure is down to 129/54.
ADDITION: I failed to mention that I am the only one singing second bass in my small church choir. Estrogen does NOT cause the voice to go higher. The baritone singer is a very masculine looking man.

Sorry Guys,
But I stand by what I said.
Men have to realise that what they wear is their choice and theirs alone and that's regardless of skirts, dresses, pants or pretty pink tutus.
This line is not about fashion, it's about men making choices in their own lives to suit themselves, literally.
What's more it's not about pretending to, or even appearing to be female, cafe values etc.
JohnH wrote: Sat Sep 18, 2010 12:39 am I would like to make it clear that this forum is not a transvestite or transsexual forum - we are normal men who identify as such. We simply like the comfort of kilts, skirts, and sometimes dresses as alternatives to shorts and pants. We wear our non-bifurcated garments as men, and not as pretend women.
John, that is your own reply to my introductory post in 2010, I apologised for my aggressive reply back then, and now.

How things have changed, and nothing to do with fashion, men, women or anyone undecided.
My last quote from that thread was a really joyous one, then this, the contrast does not inspire very much confidence.

I may look like a woman but I consider myself as a man with the name of John. Steve, you REALLY reached back over 14 years ago, even before my starting estrogen. So, I've changed.
I got sick and tired of crossdressers.com with their REALLY rigid moderation with the deletions of some of my postings and the heavy handed editing of some of my posts. Unlike the VAST number of men on that website I have chosen to retain my male name and gender designation. So I'm done with that website.
