An outfit is a form of expression and not categorisation. An individual’s “OOTD” is a space for inclusivity and fluidity.
I'm not sure I agree with how the author frames the idea of "gender-fluid clothing". That is, I think too much emphasis is placed on "fluidity" because it's a trendy keyword. What's wrong with variety?

I guess what bugged me most was this line:
For a man of Pitt’s age, to do this, means to spell out that gender-fluid clothing is not just a “Gen-Z thing” but a worldview that is here to stay.
But was he being "gender-fluid"? Were his clothes fluid? Was he not just wearing a skirt in a male sense, a male way?

Why can’t we just drop that we have to do it in a masculine way. We can the article say that we are rocking our femininity? There is nothing wrong with a male being feminine and proudly embracing the feminine. We don’t need to masculinize everything!

We don’t need to feminise things either.

How about just wearing the clothes, and appearing as we wish?

Precisely.

I had an entirely lovely conversation with another chap at my old local this evening who was dressed in turn-of the-(20th)-century clothes including a straw boater and braces. He introduced himself, and I immediately complimented him on the boater and braces -- another came back at me as well for being very daring. Kindred spirits, and both absolutely men. (I was wearing one of my black waistcoats at the time, carrying a 1920s pocket-watch, my fuchsia miniskirt, black openwork knee-highs, and black moderate heels.) There was much laughter, just as there needs to be in the world.

We do not have to "feminise" things, we need to take our place as men back from the "feminists" and be done with.

I agree - and I my comment "just wearing a skirt in a male sense, a male way" wasn't meant to say we have to "masculinize" skirts. I really was just trying to say:

Let's not assign labels to this stuff! Wear what you want and be done with it.

Moon you might be on to something with the fact that we are mostly water. Have you seen the experiments on how sound and thoughts change water?
