My name is Anthony, please accept me for the person that I am.
Re: Defining Skirt Styles
I am aware of three different pleat styles:
1. Accordion pleats.
2. Box pleats.
3. Knife pleats.

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Re: Defining Skirt Styles
Off the top of my head, I can add pegged skirts to the list of 21.

Re: Defining Skirt Styles
And what, pray tell, is a "pegged skirt"? One that is bought "off the peg"?

Pegged skirt...
Imagine a straight skirt, but up towards the top the material bulges outwards.

Re: Defining Skirt Styles
Could you give us a picture of said skirt? I just can't get a picture in my mind..

Re: Defining Skirt Styles
Fred, just imagine the old, old-fashioned wooden peg with the big bulb at the top.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

This image gives one the basic idea.

Skirtcafe is certainly useful and educational.
For example, I had never heard of godet skirt.
