T-shirt Dress that could easily work on men

Target's got a maxi t-shirt dress out for their summer line that looks like it could easily be adapted by men; no pockets tho... :( But still I'm kinda tempted to get one, as it doesn't have a waist line and thus would allow for my potbelly. Plus they have a navy blue or a royal blue which are more "masculine" colors and it comes in an XXL size.

Hmm... That could work. I may contemplate it. The worst thing that could happen is it gets used as a nightgown.

Yes that would work if you like ankle length. Not for me though.

I have several similar bought for that purpose, instead of PJs.
Longer/thicker ones for warmth and shorter/thinner ones for warmer weather.

Two problems, the neckline is too low for my liking, and they describe the medium size as equivalent to woman’s small, or size 6. That makes the XXL as no better than a 12, not going to work for me.

Try it again; didn't work for me at one point but then it did again when I just tried it;

I quite like the idea of a simple dress like that for kicking around at home or maybe casual use. However, I have tried a couple on in stores and discovered all sorts of bumps and bulges I'd rather not admit to. I have tried some with printed designs too and they really did not look any better when stretched over my misshapen frame.

Like Carl, I also have misgivings about the neckline on that one.

Have fun,

Ian.

Tee-PJs, made by Wittmann Textiles.
They have different lengths for different folks, and many colors.
Completely unisex, as far as I can tell. I haven't tried them, but
I have seen them advertised for many decades.

FINALLY :!: The link WORKED :D

Nice look. I tried to find it on their regular site but no luck.
I do much better in a 3X as a 2X, or XXL, is a bit too snug. ;(

I had a dress like that, in fact there's still a few pictures on flickr of me in it. Although I enjoyed the overall style, like you it seems to exaggerate every little nook and cranny... and bulge on my body, it was just too "form fitting" from the top to bottom.

The scoop neck never bothered me as I still have a fair number of scoop necks that I wear all the time, yet the dress never got any actual outings as I just didn't like the look much.... it has since been donated to the GoodWill in the interest of making space in the closet.

I'm also not particularly fond of dresses that look "tube" shaped. I like skirts and dresses that have a little flare.

Well, that design just came off the wanted list. I was doffing one of my long rigs last night and managed to get in front of a mirror partway through. The sedentary life has taken its toll. My petticoat leaves me with a muffin-top. (I need to get active again.)

A similar garment to the Maxi T-shirt dress can be found here:

They are above the knee length, but work well as a cover-up after a day at the beach.

Best of all - the sales price makes them very affordable.

I have several of those T-shirt dresses from OneHanesPlace.
They are immensely comfortable and stylish, even if I've only been using them for nightgown duty.

Another dress I just bought that worked really well was:
