Yes - very sad indeed. :blue: :blue:

I remember many times dancing/listening to his iconic music. I assume his latest album just released will be very popular.

Here is a tribute to David Bowie from Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Galleries (where they have a quite magnificant organ) which played a well known tune following his death earlier today.

Enjoy

While I was not heavily into Bowie, I did see that he was a genius. I loved a lot of his hits, especially 'Rebel, Rebel' which I suppose appeals to me as someone that likes challenging perceptions and traditions. Sadly, I think the world of "Glam Rock" is now gone. Bowie was predeceased by other talents in that vein like Marc Bolan and Duncan Browne. Even the guys from Roxy Music are barely reminiscent of the genre.

But I did find this a poignant reminder of Bowie being ahead of his time: http://www.npr.org/2016/01/12/462821728 ... rs-on-mars

I would also mention the passing of Alan Rickman, aka Professor Snape, at the same age and likewise of cancer. http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-35313604
